It's funny how people here are over sensitive to saying "money" - yes the most common hate tell we get as boxers is about "waste of money" - that doesn't means sometime people aren't actually wasting money / it's always false. (and yes it's always relative).

So I guess it's ok to say Sam is making no visible progress and adding accounts before showing basic results but not ok to say that because while making no progress he's paying for X accounts that this is a waste of money... taboo subject for mboxers ? (maybe because there is a grain of truth to the hate... we are spending more on our hobby than others... is there a limit... but again I don't mind if there was a 100boxer doing cool stuff and achieving something that a solo or 5 boxer can not but the feeling is sam is throwing money at a problem that doesn't need money as a solution - just need to spend a couple weeks leveling 2 toons (or maybe up to 5 / ie 1 quest group) to learn the rope before jumping in with X...)

Imo, people are too modest. I love it when a sports player or musician talks him/herself up. It's a nice change from the "well, it was a team effort, all the boys worked really hard for this result and hopefully we can have a repeat performance next week" which seems to be brainwashed into anyone who has the possibility of being interview post-match. WTB back the ol' "shit yea, I was on fire today, my opponent just couldn't keep up which allowed me to get some easy influence and really helped rip this game open." or even the ol' "g'day mum, dad, everyone back home, woohoo im on TV!!"

Reminds me of back in high school there was a traineeship going and only four spots yet there were like 6-7 people that went for it. One of the guy applying knew one of the people who was on the board choosing the applicants and they were good friends. In the morning we were discussing it etc etc and he was like "Well I'm definitely going to get one and so its Person x, then you guys will have to fight for the last two" I kept my mouth shut and just smiled on the inside at how much of a douche the guy was. The next week came I got a call at home "congrats you got the traineeship etc etc" I was smiling and happy. The next day I went to school and the kid that was being an ass was gone. Apparently he didn't get ANY of the four spots. Also he Apparently decided to switch schools. The friend that he knew on the inside was upset that he had asked him for a reference knowing that he was going to be helping choose the applicants. I don't think that was the reason he switched schools but if I acted the way he did I probably would have moved as well. Anyways I'm done rambling just wanted to share

Using your sports analogy... this would be like say... in the NBA if someone like Brian Scalabrine telling everyone how he's going to be MVP and have averages of 30/10/10.

Yes, there is a difference between talking yourself up and trash talking someone else. So far all I can see is Sam talking himself up (a lot), and everyone else hating on him. This is why I'm defending him. Even though I don't like him all that much, he is only bragging, you guys are insulting him though. Tbh, if I was St. Peter, I'd let him into heaven with a warning, you guys would be shown the trap door leading down...

He's bragged about how many accounts he has, that he is going to be the best (saying "i will be the best" is a bit different to "im going to be way better than you cos you suck"), he's bragged about his site getting hits (to which you all replied his site sucks), he's bragged about upgrades to his comps to handle lag (to which you all replied waste of money lolol, lame, stfu sam), and although he has bragged that he is better than prepared at EQ, in the same sentence he has always admitted prepared is better than him at wow (and this is different to saying, "im a faster runner cos ur fat, but you are a better weightlifter than me...only cos ur fat...fatty).

2 wrongs don't make a right, I think we learnt that in Primary School sometime.
