I have a very demanding job that takes up most of my time, but the financial rewards are worth it :thumbup: . I get to play for an hour in the mornings while waiting for my girfriend to get ready for work and maybe for a couple of hours here and there throughout the week or weekends. Part of my job is setting up gaming suites for VIP clients, so I get paid to play WOW somedays on nice hardware (Quad core, 8GB, GTX 280, 30" screens - should really have a play with multiboxing on them the next time i have to setup a Suite - we currently have 26 of these machines!!).
god this makes me sound like I only work or play WOW :S . I also try to find as much time as I can to be with my Girlfriend (going out and doing things together) and I'm also trying to learn Classical guitar.

I love boxing WoW. After I got my first 70 (started pre TBC, but wasn't 60 before th release) I was like "now what" and started an alt, but just couldn't bring myself to start over from scratch, so I got a second account and tried boosting (epic fail, had no idea what I was doing) eventally, I found this site, got 3 more accounts, and had a blast leveling (pre RAF, even more fun once that started) Boxing wow lets me live my life without having to deal with other random people. I remember one night, on my paladin (holy at the time) trying to get an instance run together (you'd think it'd be easy, given that I was a healer...) I think it was a heroic daily or something. It took 3 hours, a bunch of people dropped, were replaced etc. and we never got halfway through the place... Epic waste of time. Now I just go whenever I want. If I decide i want to get a drink, i dont have to notify my party, and wait for a stopping point. I just go. No dealing with loot whores, or bad rolls, or whatever. The toon that needs it most gets it. Even when I start raiding with my Guild its gonna be great, cause I can play anywhere from 1-5 toons depending on how many others we got online. All in all, I find the monthly cost totally worth it. I plan on playing until the next expansion, and beyond. I really hope they don't make wow more gimmicky... some of the northrend dungeon bosses are just rediculous. And where did all the trash go? I liked to grind instance mobs for exp (being on a PvP server, its much more relaxing) but now itsl ike 3 mob packs and a boss... Oh well. Here's to hoping that I can get 2-3 teams to 80 before the next expansion goes out...

I have no internet connection at the moment so I'm on an involuntary wow break, leads to an increase in time spent watching TV and socialising, but I really wish I could log in sometimes too

I'm playing 6 right now - a leveling team, and my 80s get on and do dailies and craft and run lowbies through dungeons. I'm adding DKs into the mix now, too, so in a week or so, make that 9.

Right now, 2, a 3rd is in the planning stages to take more advantage of rested time (no RAFs here)

Depends - it probably averages 10-15 a week, 0 if I have freelance work or social events or a concert or something. Once in a while I'll indulge and play all weekend, to get caught up or make a goal. I can't take more than 3 hours at a sitting, I have to get up and do something else after that. I put a exercise cycle next to my computer desk to get rid of excess energy so I can last 3 hours.

I rarely if ever sit and watch tv - I'm always doing something else. I cannot stand to waste time like that - unless its a really good movie, I have the tv on in the background, and I semi-pay attention to it. Or, I'll have the Xm on for music, or my iTunes library.

Depends. A lot of my friends moved away, got married, or travel for a living, so most of my communication is online now, or on the phone, or I travel, or they come through town on business or on tour. It's a lot less than I like, but I also like it in some ways. I'm an artist, so I need a lot of studio time anyway.

I just want to say that I'm sick and tired of the "you have no life!" insult, it's childish and the people who use it are morons. I have a great life, I have a job I love, I have a freelance career I love, I have a family and a rather big group of friends I love, and I have so many things I can choose to do it's not even funny. I spend *maybe* 2 hours a day on this hobby, time that otherwise would be spent on another hobby anyway!
I love MBing, it's a whole new game when you do it, and I'll spend my time the way I want, and I feel no need to justify my time to forum trolls or kiddies in the game. Play for yourself, and forget the morons. I'm older now, I had my clubbing days, going out 4 nights a week, all nighters then showing up to work a zombie - I'm past that, I could care what some teenager thinks. I HAVE my stories and memories - why are you online flinging poo, instead of going out yourself? Hmmm?

I generally dislike people. I am not a social person at all. Just "hanging out" drives me insane, I must be doing something. That said, I do have non computer things I do. I play semi-professional baseball and led my league in hitting last year. Since my wife works on Saturdays the kids and I usually try to do something. Lately we have been doing "experimental cooking", last weekend we made salsa for the first time and it turned out quite well. The wife also forces me to go out and socialize occasionally. All said and done I spend about half my free time in WoW, I find it a great release, something to do that burns time without burning cash like crazy. Other hobbies I'm interested in happen to be much more expensive. I love boating, jet skiiing and wakeboarding, I could easily burn 500 a month on those... with WoW, my hobby takes $500 a month and a larger chunk once a year for expansions...
