Server is slow at the moment, getting hit by every major news site

Traffic on the site is about 20x higher than normal, and is making the server squeal, my apologies for the slowness - hopefully by the end of today it will be back to normal, that or I'm going to need to upgrade the server again If anyone's looking for #'s there has been about 3000-4000 concurrent users on the site all weekend.
