Default RAF has me in a it tough spot

I 5 boxed a Pally 4 Shammie group into the mid 30s. I left WoW for LotR since my brother loves the game. Now he has grown tried and I prefer WoW. My problem is are my accounts even worth reactivating? 2 have 60+ character on them so I would reactivate them but 3 have mid shaman only. Given the bonuses from RAF should I bite the bullet and buy 3 new accounts RAFing 2 to one veteran account and one to the other?

Is the EXP bonus really as good as I think it is? (I figure I could literal catach my group up in one or two solid play sessions)

I had 5 shaman @ level 26. I dropped two of the accounts and replaced them with RAF accounts and in two days of playtime (not /played, just the time I could spend in 2 days) was past where I was. About 12 hours all said and done, I was slow by many peoples standards.

Once I hit 60 I granted levels to get the 5th shaman up, he ended up hitting 70 in just under 4 days played total.

Man I need to do some serious picking of the brains of some of you old veteran MB guys, I'm at L35 on my 4 shammies in something like 27 hours /played.

To the OP, RAF is love, it makes the world go round.

Would it be too much to transfer the 60s to the new accounts? A buddy of mine did that to get all of his old toons onto his new RAF accounts. You'll have to weigh that for yourself and see if it's worth it.

I have gotten the grinding down to where I can get a team to 40-45 in less than a weekend. So in about 4 weeks I have 3 teams in their 40s and 1 team in their 60s. Not to mention you get a couple Zhevra mounts and some free levels to throw around as well.

Drop all of them, 60s included if you like, RAF is really that good.

I'm a quad boxer with 40 days left of RAF and I'm finished with it. I started with two accounts and had one level 70 (hunter), two 43s (pally/Shaman), one 58 (Druid) and a level 1 bank alt(Rogue). I recruited two more accounts to start quad boxing and 7.5 /played days later I have one level 70 and twenty-three level 60s.

It's way more 60s than I ever will, or even intend to get to 70, let alone 80 but I enjoyed levelling the quad teams so much I didn't stop until I had four (4xLocks, 4xMages, 1xPriest + 3xDruids, and 1 Pally + 3 Shaman). A few extra hours doing newbie zone levelling plus gift levels and I have at least one level 60 of each class and can do 4xDruid and 4xShaman. I suppose I've only really stopped because I've run out of character slots on my first two accounts, leaving one spare in each for a DK.

I'm all set for, the much slower, levelling in outland with the only delay trying to decide which group to do first. I'm leaning towards the Pally/3xShaman...

<EDIT> I quested all groups, no boosting at all.

    Definitely RAF it.

My first RAF team hit 60 in under 2 days /played. Was ridiculously quick.

    RAF FTW,

I have done 4 warlocks, 4 Rogues & 4 Shamans using RAF and boosting with my 70 mage. Each one took on average 1day 10 hours /played to get to 60.

Now comes the fun of doing 60-70 but that can wait until after 3.0

    RAF levelling-

I invited 3 accounts from my main, giving me x4 accts with triple xp. If a friend pulls me through an instance, I get less xp because he's a 70 but it is still triple XP. If I start 3 new toons, and use one higher level toon from my main account, will the 3 lowbies get triple xp, or does the toon from the main account have to be in there at the same level?

Same scenario, except I use a high level from one of the invited accounts, and 3 lowbie toons, including main account, triple xp should definitely work, right?

Well I tossed 3 of my accounts that had only mid 30's on them. I kept my 2 'high' level accounts using one to invite 2 RAF accounts and one to invite one. All grouped together they should each get x3 EXP. I am thinking I might start fresh on a new server, even switching to the Horde. The only downside is I will need to drop about $100 bucks on 3 new WoW clients + BC.

I tried out RAF using 3 gnome mages. I had them to 8th by the time they left newbie yards, which was not much more than an hour. (Macro setup included) I could tell that if I devoted two solid weekends to leveling I could have a team 60. I would not be able to get a team of 5 from the mid 30's to 60 in the same amount of time.

You used to be able to find battlechests for $29.99, but I just checked all the usual places I had found them in the past (gogamer.com, bestbuy, target, gamestop, amazon) and they're all showing up at 39.99. Good luck.
