Default RAF and granting levels did not work as expected

I know I double checked this with the forum before I tried it, so I have no idea what is going on here.

    Account are linked as follows: A -> B -> C

    1. I leveled B and C to 40

    2. Created a char on B and granted 20 levels from C to B (this should mean I have a total of 60 levels across two chars on B, should mean I have 30 levels I can grant

    3. Created a char on A and leveled it to 10 (normal way)

    4. Attempted to grant 30 levels from B to A but all it would let me do was 20. The grants from C to B did no good at all... they did not count towards the levels needed to grant

I know people here have boosted 4 accounts to 60 and then granted the 5th from 1 to 60... could someone explain how the heck they did that? Now I have a character stuck at 30 with the other 4 at 40 and I can't figure uot how to solve this.

for every 2 lvls you get... you get 1 free lvl. a total of 29 lvls free at lvl 60 to give to the veteran account.

You cannot gift to any other linked accounts accept the veteran account. The gift cannot exceed the level of the giver. i.e. a lvl 30 priest cannot gift past lvl 30. but he can gift a lvl 1 to 15

    But the WIKI says this:

    2. X refers one account and then the rest link to another account from there. Ponzi at it's finest:

    X>A

    A>B

    B>C

    C>D

Offers many granted levels to toons accounts X,A,B, and C and 4 zhevras, but you can't use your 70 main to boost. This configuration does not require any single toon to be on for XP, but does require the proper pairings to be present in a chain of the referrals to get the XP. In this set up D gets no referral levels, while C gets levels from D, and X, A, and B all get levels from the referred plus levels gain extra referred levels because the referring account gets referral levels while accepting the referred levels.

    Which is what I did.

did you start off by using the lvl 20 B toon to grant from 10->20 then use the lvl 40 B toon to go from 20->40?

I thought it was by account.. not by character.... nowhere in the FAQ or blizzard stuff does it say that!!!!

    I am screwed now.

yeah its by character. i guess they figured it was common sense cause the recruited player wouldnt be getting ahead of the veteran player by creating a bunch of alts. also you could level a toon to 40 then level the rest of the character slots on the account to 10 and have 65 total levels to grant on that account if it was per account and not per character. also the point of the level granting system was not instant lvl 60 characters it was to be able to keep you and your friend in the same level range...

Actually, it does. From here, the second post: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...65628748&sid=1

[*]For every two levels a character on the new recruited account gains, they can "grant" a level to one of the veteran player's characters.

    • The maximum number of grantable levels that can be gained by a single character is 29.
The recruited player can decide to grant all 29 levels at once to a character on a linked account.
The character who is being granted a level has the option to accept or decline the level grant.

Levels can only be granted to the veteran player's account, not vice versa.
Levels can not be granted Cross Faction.
A character on the recruited account cannot grant a level to a character equal or higher than their own level.
[*]Levels are granted to the veteran player's character by right-clicking the target player's portrait. You will see a "Grant Level" option.

Bleh... so a quick question, to boost that 29 pally to 40 in SM, would it get anything comperable to what my other 4 toons got with their 3x exp since it would be the only one in the group with the booster? I really don't want to level a pally from 29 to 40 the old fashioned way. Once they are all 40 I will just quest until 70 with all five grouped.

With RAF boosting you should be able to get a level every 10-15 minutes in cath in the 20-35 range, 35-40 about every 20-25 minutes

So without RAF just multiply the times by 3, still not too terrible, though a bit mind numbing after awhile
