...can't you set up Keyclone's Maximizer with PiP and just not set the "always on top" option? That should allow the second WoW region to fall to the background when you have focus on the first WoW region (or vice versa when you switch PiP).
sadly i feel as if ive tried every possible combination of this functionality, and the results are not exactly waht i want. if you set the larger, background region to "always on top" then the smaller PiP region is NEVER visible, so all youre really gaining over just having 2 windows open and alt+tabing is the addition of a single short cut button to switch btwn your two regions of focus, and doesnt really solve the issue of real-time-monitoring of the second account.

Alternatively, you can explore other layouts whereby both WoW regions are visible and still use PiP to switch to the bigger, main region.
this is definetely an option, and would appear the main functionality to the PiP mechanism. truth is that the integrated PiP is not mainly a picture-in-picture mechanic, but mainly a display segragating mechanic with a PiP funtion integrated. so yes, this will work, but idealy i wanted to retain my full display area for the main account. the downside to doing this is that having only 2 regions to display, i either have to use brutally stretched resolutions, or surrender a good 20% of my screen to unused black space.

i dont think there's a feature that will turn off PiP and turn it on again. you'll have to manually minimize it in order to see the entire main window.
i think this is quite correct. however how does one manually minimize it? when i mouse over the PiP window, the windows hotbar becomes visible, but the PiP seems to force itself active and wont let me minimize it. if i could simply click the hotbar and minimize, and then maxamize when i wanted it back thatd solve all my problems. im going to explore this further. however, i think its the maxamize function of wow itself when running in windowed mode that restricts this functionality. not sure how to get around that. ill try disabling it but im pretty sure that maximizer (keyclone) will re-enable it as thats kinda the point.

what you can do is just download an actionbar addon and a tooltip addon to move tihngs around, if you put your PiP window on the bottom or right, or bottom right of the screen. if you put your PiP window on the top left of your screen, get a unit frames addon that will move your unit frames around. for actionbars the most popular ones are bongos, bartender, and trinity. you can use cowtip as a tooltip mover. it has other features too. for unit frames, off the top of my head there's pitbull and xperl. try using those to move your buttons and things around. good luck.
this is certainly the easiest solution, but also the one id like to avoid the most. ive played wow seriously since closed-beta, and to say the least, my ui is.... refined. im a little obsessive about its minimalism and symetry and general look of cleanliness... so having to screw with everything to accomodate some stupid PiP window is a deal breaker.

thanks for the help guys. much appreciated.

if theres no other answer, i implore the coder of keyclone to think about including a hotkey to force the PiP window to the bottom/top in future builds. i believe it would really expand the functionality of the PiP feature.
