Default warning on ATI HD4670 based cards.

I picked up one of these from Newegg for $79 to replace the GF6600 that I use in the machine that run my 4 other WoW instances. These cards have been fairly popular lately as they're fast and cheap. However, as it turns out ATI doesn't seem to supply drivers for this GPU so you're dependent on the card manufacturer for drivers (*gasp*). Also there are no Linux drivers, although I doubt that's important to most of the folks here. Expectedly, the fans on these are also pretty noisy and I'm struggling to dampen the noise (the GF6600 I had didn't have a fan). Although it *is* a freaking fast card, had I known about the driver freakshow I would have passed.

Default was there a problem with the manufactures drivers?

I would have tried the manufactures drivers first.
The Radeon drivers are somewhat unified, you might be able to load the 4870 driver and see if that works.
