    Default Keyclone and CPU Affinity?

    I'm 5-boxing, using a Q6600 (quad core)
In Keyclone, you have the option to assign a core (0-3) to an instance of Warcraft.

Is the game faster is windows (Vista 64-Bit) manages my processors, or would I benefit from assigning each CPU to an instance of Warcraft?
If it is better to assign each instance a CPU affinity, which core (0, 1, 2, or 3) should have the 5th instance of wow?

You need to assign a core to each process manually using keyclone to get max performance.

Just make your main and your first 2 clones each on a separate core and then put your last 2 clones on the last core. Also on this same note it really helps to have your instances split onto 2+ separate hard drives.

With respect to hard drive splitting, it's not always straight forward and you may need to try different configurations to maximize your own performance. I tried a separate hard drive for each instance of WoW, and somewhat paradoxically I see much worse drive thrashing/lag in Shatt with that configuration than all 5 copies runnings off the same drive. This doesn't make a lot of sense to me but I suspect it may represent an effect of the disk cache. But other people have reported substantial improvements with multiple drives, or with symbolic linking.
Current team: Shnoght (DK) + 4 elemental shamans (Shalph, Sheta, Shamma, Shepsilon)
Heroics cleared: Drak'Tharon, VH, CoS, UK, Gundrak, HoL, Nexus

Waiting in the wings at 80: Shaladin (pally), Shmage (mage), Shruud/Shrued (boomkins), Shelta (leftover shaman)

I've got a nice fast Diamond Raptor 10,000 rpm (150gb) and a slower Seagate (500gb) for storage.
I'll try 3 instances on the Raptor and 2 on the Seagate and see how it plays.

edit you config.wtf file.. somewhere it says CPU affinity.. set it to 16.. Yeah wow dosn't use all 4 cores.. but when I did that I notice a +50% along all cores instead of +90% on two cores
