    36 keys!! wait... are you macro-ing any of those? are they all on several action bar? and when you multi-box boost, im guessing you're going to be using the lock as the main?
    Yeah, my 'lock is my main and I have three sets of spells/macro's/abilities mapped to three throws of 12 hotkeys: row 1 (nomod), row 2 (shift), and row 3 (alt). Its from my pre multi-boxing days and I'm used to it for PvP, etc.

    Obviously when multi-boxing I want to use a different set of main 12 (1 through "="). But, I'd like to be able to revert back to my original bar/hotkey combination when playing solo. Still trying to figure that out.

    Bartender4 is being built for WotLK. You can read the developers thoughts http://forums.wowace.com/showthread.php?t=12513&page=65.

    for trinity, i know there are options for "states" i think. its under the first tab in the advanced options. id make a bar for "group" play and, if you're in a group, that bar should show. then just keybind the buttons to your 1234567890-= keys.

    what i like to do is make each button customizable with shft/alt/ctrl states, instead of changing bars based on modifiers. they work the same, but instead of "shifting" the bar to the next bar, i just shift the option in the macro to the shifted spell. im sure you know this though!

    as for your warlock being the main, i dont really see a reason why you'd want to change anything on your lock though. what you might wanna try doing is making your slave sync with your warlock. =]

    Bartender4 worked for me by combining the use of profiles (standard and multibox) along with "states" (the second paged tab for each button). Works perfectly as I can easily switch my profile if solo'ing and my keyboard/macro/hotkey layout resumes its old state.

    Just want to throw out there that the author of Bongos, 2 and 3 made a simplified mod called Dominos he is continuing to maintain. He already has a version that works on beta and 3.0 out there.

    i've been using bartender4 for a while now, no problems. I also use bindpad for a lot of stuff as well, hope that works in patch 3.0
    Does BT4 support advanced paging like BT3 did with modality?

    I believe that it does. Is this using "states" to make one bar show a different bar's spells/macro's/etc? If so, yes it can. You can use the shift/alt/ctrl key to make a bar "page" to a different bar's assignments. You can also make that work on state based situations like "possession", etc. I don't have the link handy, but there is an active thread on Bartender4 over at the ace forums. Google should pull it up pretty quickly.

    I use Dominos, it is developed by the same person who made Bongos (I think). It is not the most feature-full action-bar addon, but I'm very happy with it.

    Bongos -> Dominos
    Trinity -> Macaroon
    Bindpad -> Bindpad (3.0)

    I found the WotLK version of Bindpad last night. Going thru all my mods trying to find the equivilents for 3.0. Doesnt look too promising yet

    I switched from Bartender to Trinity a LOOOOONG time ago.

    And your question about switching between solo and multiboxed play? Trinity has "templates" that include your keybindings, button layout, and even MACROS. Yes, trinity can swap macros on the fly.

    I have a bunch of templates now: raiding, raiding specific encounters that I need specific macros for, multiboxing as enh (for dailies where I don't want to respec), multiboxing as resto. (this is on my enh shaman who switches to resto when I multibox)

    The fact that it swaps out my macros is priceless. I have long since run out of space on the standard /macro UI.

    Awesome. I'm at least 2 light years behind you so I'll probably stick with BT4 for now as it did solve my basic problem of switching between what was my standard solo keyboard layout to a multi-boxing layout.

    That said, I've begun grouping the five in BRD and am finally getting around to writing macros/laying out keys/etc as required for true, integrated group play. As you know, boosting the four up til now had been a trivial effort of smashing on DD spell and sending in my Warlock's pet. BRD takes a touch more sophistication and it only goes up from there.
