Whew, well its good to know that the leader will atleast be able to see the patterns

For tradeskills I was thinking of the following:

5x Alch
1x LW
1x Enchanter
1x Smith
1x Inscriber
1x Engineer

Not really set in stone or anything, I did see that JC requires a daily quest to obtain the dragon eyes which wouldn't make sense for me to do with only one character when i could obtain many times the gold value of said JC item in the same time with all my characters doing a daily or something...if other tradeskills follow this model then I think you have a very good point with tradeskill diversity.

I do like the 5x alch for the "press this button for an effortless 100-200g" each day (though im already coming to realize that gold is probably going to be a non-issue just running heroic and outland dailies...that aside the endless potions, flask buffs, and trinkets all seem very nice.

Reguarding the other stuff, I really liked the idea of having an engineer for portable mailboxes and repairbots for the added convience (time = $$,afterall) as well as engineering bombs and tools possibly for some of the more tricky 5man encounters. LW for the drummer....figured insciber would be handy for making my own glyphs to allow for more swapping but thats not necessary....smith, yeah mostly useless and is just a pattern collector

Mabey I'll take a step back and rethink some of these ideas, LW does have a very compariable passive buff to go along with it's bop item lineup (ill have to check these items out)
