Hi there, wasnt sure wether to put this post in the hardware / software or in this section in the forums, but my choice fell on this.
My first idea was to use my 5 locks in pvp and that worked fine. I saw that others that have a lock grp also used a priest in their seup and that was tempting fo me to test out. Already got the keybindings figured out in beforehand and i started to implement my priest into the squad. Making an healing macro for each toon, with alt, shift ctrl modifiers all set up. Place them into the actionbar and starts to keygind them.
I was going to use the numpad keys for my healing action of the toon and self. This is where the problems emerged. all pushes without modifiers worked like a charm, but windows in all its cleverness has made the "shift numpads" = shortcuts for the keyboards. After a little search i find out that shift+numpad = does the functions that numpad without num lock on would do.
This made me go away from using keypad for easy acces from the mouse and over to the f1 to f5. here it works as intedet with no modifiers, but with modifiers the f1 starts to not respond again. i have moved these up to the f8 til f12 buttons for now, but thats not very intuitive and makes it hard to heal on the fly in action because i have to "find" the propper button to push. I know i can use the keys 1-5 for this purpose, but want to keep those open for other purposes.
Q1: Is it just me or doesnt shift (alt, ctrl) f1 work with your keybindings? I think that it might be a blocked win shortcut key or something ( I use vista )
Q2: Is there a hardware sollution to this. Say, is there a product i can buy with say 9 to 18 keyss i can configger to for instance push
( http://www.piengineering.com/xkeys/xkdesk.php - will x keys desktop do the job, looks like it has buttons i can program to for instance push f12, and will it work good with modifiers?)
