Help: Synch'n Your Toons with Octopus

I got Octopus working in about 5min no problem. Keys work everything is good....but the characters are a little off. I tried hearthing, thinking that the same hearth would mean same spawn spot....but it doesn't. I tried to manually do it disabling Octopus and moving the characters but they quickly went their own ways. Is there a way to Synch them in game? I did do a search, read the set up wiki but they just show how to set up the server/client. Anyone have any ideas or a direction to go next?

I think you're talking about movement... confused on the hearth thing though.

There. Now that THAT's out of the way. Fun and games aside, your toons will always lag behind you a bit and won't perfectly match up. That's just the way /follow works. If you're trying to move all toons with the same movement keys at the same time, then you're fighting a losing battle because WoW will _never_ be perfectly in synch with your system, especially with multiple wows running.

I looked over that Multiboxing 101(before posting and now once again) and I understand that the toons will never be in perfect synch but mine are soo out of synch they go in different directions lol. I've tried manually getting them close but then that VERY little difference is very obvious (controlling them without /follow). In video's and stuff I see the characters seem to be aiming in the exact same direction and was wondering how they got them that way. Anyway thanks for the info.

PS The hearth idea was that if they had Aldor Shattrath set as their hearth stones then when they were ported to Shattrath they'd be in the same position facing the same way. They were not, they were a little off. Hope that explained what I meant.

You need to just have your drones follow your main guy wherever you go. There is no way your going to be able to play by individually moving all your toons. Set up some follow main macros and be done with it.

I believe the issue here is that he's trying to pass the movement keys to all the slaves... This, as has been mentioned in the thread, is not going to work. Set them all to /follow and work from there. This means melee slaves are more of a pain to setup their attacks, so most tend to use ranged dps or healers as slaves instead of melee dps.

I just put the alt(s) on follow and left it for now. Probably gonna get another account up and going just not sure which is the best way to do that. On the controls I'm working on that and it all seems pretty easy I'll at max be 3 boxing so thats no big deal. Just gotta get my feet wet.\

RAF duh But I got a few questions.
1. Does it matter if the new account is in my name? or does it have to be a different persons name?
2. Should I do the 10day trial then up to preBC (trying to save money)? or is there a better way?
3. Would money spent be preBC account ($20) + 1 month ($16)? Then doesnt my main account get 1month aswell so thats me not having to pay for the month I'd have to anyway right?
4. Then how does granting work? Please if there's a link show me lol
