Default Simplest tank class to play (including DKs in WOTLK)

I have 4 shamans and want to add a tank class for PvE instances.

Can anyone chime in on what the best tank for multiboxing is? As in simplest, least buttons, least babysitting. Lets say for 5 mans.

I have *never* tanked before, but I do have a 70 Pally, 60 Druid, as well access to a friends unused 70 warrior. And then you have the Death Knight in WotLK. Any of them is going to cost me money to either split the new char to a new account (or resub the 70 warrior). Am I going to have to wait til people have L80 DK's until there is a consensus?

    TIA

NO NO NO NO NO BAD BAD BAD.....
if you want to get ALL accounts banned ? go ahead... multiboxers get reported more than others, and will get more investigation from GM's... if they spot 5 char's in unison, and 1 account in under another name, its an insta ban
Account Sharing is NOT allowed. please dont go there
and PLEASE dont talk about it here.

ok now to actually reply your question

Paladin's are currently deemed the best multibox tank simply due to the simplicity
    a simple macro like
/castrandom consecration, holy shield, etc etc etc
will do more than enough to hold agro on anything you want

Warriors are currently the hardest due to no easy AoE threat and more tab-sundering causing targeting the go oddly

druids are decent... swipe holds 3 targets, but agro gaining just like a warrior is tricky and requires more attention than just spamming 1 button

DK's are still not proven, altough they got quite some AoE agro gaining, it has so far not been tested.

    IMO try the paladin first.

    Default easiest tank

The concesus is definitely paladin. After tanking with a warrior for a while I decided to roll up a pally tank and abandoned him at lvl 30ish and I found it a lot more of a pain in the butt than tanking with a warrior. So once you get used to one kind of tank, I think that class will seem "easier" for you. I've tried druid too which I stopped at lvl 68. I found druid to be very very similar to warrior and it was a blast but I just didn't want to keep paying for the extra account.

Allowing thunderclap to hit more than 4 targets might make warriors better now. I guess we will have to see I am biased b/c I used to raid on my warrior

And swipe will hit unlimited enemies in front of the bear now as well! I think ANY of the tanks will be GOOD at tanking in wotlk for multi-boxers. I will have one of each at some point. BUT I think Paladins will still be the best. Also shaman will have HEX at 80. And it is at 80 that it matters most. Since 4 HEXs will be enough to "CC" your way through most pulls, any tank will do I'm betting. But, again, Paladins still have more going for them for "ease of use". Besides..WHY CC when a play gives you the ability to just clear whole groups a lot faster 8)

Yes even with better warrior/druid AoE tanking they still require more thought than a paladin. A paladin's threat is mostly nondirectional. With consecration, a real tanking pull (avenger's shield), holy shield, blessing of sanctuary, etc, it almost makes tanking as a paladin completely thoughtless. Just pull, spam a button, and insta-tank. THAT IMO makes the paladin far superior to druid/warrior for multiboxing even after wotlk.

I'm going to keep my pally tank for my 4 shamans, but I'm leveling up a 5 druid team (with one druid being a feral tank) that I'll use for stealth heroic runs and some fun in BGs.

Pala is better for tanking because of reactive threatbuilding (as in, getting hit = generating threat).
But all will be viable in Wotlk.
Remember tho, thundeclap will have a CD, swipe won't. DK will have Death'n'Decay, it's almost like concencrate.
Currently not boxing, info below is not really relevant.

I know, I might get some hate for it.. but..
use a BM hunter with a gorilla or bear specced for tanking.
