    Default Wow settings on clones

I had some questions about how to setup the clones so they use the least amount of graphics and CPU.

    1. If I ctrl-R i am seeing that all the windows often have 30-50 fps eventh though I setup a maxfpbk of 15. Could it be because "vertical sync" is on in the graphics settings?

    2. Turn all sound/music off on the clones?

    3. Turn all graphics options to minimum except terrain distance?

    4. I notice that when I move the mouse from one Wow screen to another there is a 2-3 second pause. The mouse "sticks" at the window's edge and then continues to move. Is this normal?

    Thanks in advance

If you're using ctrl-r to see the framerate then its not using maxfpsbk anyway - that only works when the window is in the background. You have to specify just "maxfps" if you want the framerate reduced while the window is up in front of you as well.

Leave terrain distance all the way down, you can increase environment distance if you want (shows players and npcs further away, though I turn this all the way down on my clones also).

Umm, it sounds to me like your assuming that his slave windows are buried behind his main window. Funnily enough he actually mentions moving his mouse from one window to another. You need to pay more attention

To the original poster. fpsmaxbk will only work if you have maxfps also enabled, so you you set maxfpsbk to like 10 or 15, set maxfps to 60 or whatever you want to enable the maxfpsbk.

Theres an option in keyclone (I'm assuming your using keyclone) that says something like 'mouse focus', if you uncheck that you wont get the pause when moving your mouse over to other windows but you will have to click to activate that window (eg. if you move your mouse over to your slave to open its bag you'll need to double click but you wont get the pause).

As with the ctrl+r thing, turn it on on an alt then move your mouse back to your main and click on something (eg. open a bag) then look at the alts fps without moving the mouse over to it.

Turning off the sounds on your alts can help with performance.

I'd suggest turning off vertical sync to lift the limits on your fps (unless you see lines appearing on the terrain when you run around).

Fyi...even if you have all of the windows tiled (i.e., no one window "covering" any other windows) there can only be one in the foreground at any given time. Thus, the remaining windows use the fpsmaxbk setting.
