Well, as I use synergy and find it extremely annoying not being able to mouse look on my slave machines. I started poking around a bit in the settings and found an interesting solution.
First of course you go into options and check both "Use relative mouse moves" and "Don't take foreground on Windows servers"
But the trick is, Go into hot keys and make a hot key for your right mouse button.
Then we make 3 actions tied to that one mouse button.
action 1: Check "Lock Cursor to Screen" and change the drop down to on. Check "Hot key is pressed"
action 2: Check "Lock Cursor to Screen" and change the drop down to off. Check "Hot key is released"
action 3: Check "Press & Release:" select the input box and click your right mouse button so the box says "mousebutton(3)" select "Hot key is pressed"
The first to of course lock and unlock the screen which is the current fix for the top spin. The third one keeps the right mouse button passing a right mouse button command. Without it you will not be able to right click"
The only issue I found with this is when ever you release the mouse button it centers the mouse on the screen. I find this much prefered over spinning like a top.
