I have two 70s, Hoofu (in Kara/Badge/SSC/MH gear) and Oggie (in blues and 4 solo epics). Rather than decide which to level to 80 first, I thought I'd have a go at doing it dual-box!
I've watched a few videos and read a few intros, I just felt like I'd get some thoughts down before I splash out on a new account and a character transfer and a copy of Keyclone.
I want to still be able to play them solo, to go do instances with my friends with either one, so I don't want to disrupt their action bars too much - or are there add-oons that will save and restore action bar settings? Oggie, being a warrior, has plenty of spare buttons but Hoofu is jam packed because of all the totems. Should I be able to get away with just using Action Bar 2 for the abilities that they will use in combination with each other? Hoofu will save a few buttons with some totem spells being removed/combined, and I'm sure I can be a little more economical than I am, so maybe I'll have 20 buttons that I'll dedicate to dual-boxing macros.
Is there any mileage in having a single key that activates one warrior ability and one shaman ability? For instance, Whirlwind and Chain Lightning? Devastate and Earth Shock? Slam and Lesser Healing Wave? Or should I keep the numbers for the warrior and use some other keys such as H for Heal, L for Lightning, and T for a Totem castsequence?
For moving, I'll obviously have a /follow macro, but if I have WASD for my warrior and Up Down Left Right for my shaman, then I can control them independently for combat positioning! Does that sound workable? Also, investing in a Mechano-hog (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Domin.../~3/407101710/) is probably a good move!
