Jamba is by far one of the coolest add-ons I've ever used. I'm currently running 3 mages at level 70 and am adding a 4th to the group. I'm going to get this set up for them asap.

I realize this thread is a little old, but I'm going back through these forums since I am thinking about grinding out a Healadin and it means dusting off my macros and refreshing my memory on how the hell I levelled my 4 box team. So, a question first, followed by an observation. The question is
Has it been determined as of the latest patch that BT 4 absolutely does not support that paging feature that let you build the "macro commands" into the toolbars? And if so, is Macaroon the only one that allows it now?
The observation:
Anyway, I notice a recurring theme seems to be what a pain collection quests are. If you ar referring to ones like "Go gather 10 of these plants", well, I can't really help you there with any suggestions, but on quests where all your toons need to loot an item off a corpse or something, those ar easy sauce. Using Keyclone with maximizer, you can set it up to follow your mouse. I keep my main on auto loot since in most cases she gets to pick everything up and the others just become sell to vendor mules. The others are also on auto loot. This means if I mouse off the main window onto one of the small ones, I can "double click" on the corpse and it will loot the quest item, and I just do that 3 times. It is very fast and doesn't actually take what I consider a long time. The first click makes the window the "active" one and the second click loots. To make sure they're all in position, I usually just stop the main slightly in front of the corpse. Even with collection quests like gathering something off the ground, this works quickly enough for me that the only thing that makes them time consuming is the need for each toon to find the separate items.
I know dogma is to avoid these quests like the plague, but when you are levelling out of zones at the rate of 2 or 3 a day (or more if you have more play time than I do), sometimes it pays to milk as much xp as you can from a given chain of quests.
Anyway hope this helps someone out.
I'm using this set up now and loving it.I tried FTL, but I just couldn't get it to work for some reason. I'll give it a try later, but I'm quite happy with this set up.
I wonder if it had something to do with running on 2 computers(the FTL setup) and the 2nd Keyclone would stop. Perhaps, but I moved everything back to one computer and have had no issues so far. Thanks for this guys, I really like it!

I've got the same issue with this setup.Originally Posted by 'Rowdysattva',index.php?page=Thread&postID=157304# post157304
So I cast everything from my Main's normal bars, which is mirrored by my two slave's FTbars. Target a mob with the Main and hit "3" and everyone blasts the same mob with a lightning bolt. . . works great.
Now let's say my Main (leader) dies and I swap over to slave1 with a hotkey. Slave1 is now the leader, slave2 sets his focus to slave1 (now leader). Everything is going pretty awesome at this point, but now I can't cast lighting bolt because the hotkey for that is bound to an FTbar on this toon. Since he is now the leader, he doesn't have a focus and the FTbar isn't even visible.
. . . I think I just answered my own question. If slave1 (or whoever becomes the new leader) can set his focus to himself, then all is well. Target a mob and pew pew. I'm going to try this after this freakin' OS raid tonight and see how it goes. Will update later if this works.
Edit: Works like a dream. So along with switching my main window in maximizer, now my "Switch Leader" macro looks like this:
/jamba setmeasmaster all
/focus name2
/script SetView(5);SetView(5);
It makes name2 the leader and sets his focus to himself, then when he targets something, the FTbar comes up and its go-time.
What is the function of this line:
/script SetView(5);SetView(5);
And which addon is it part of? My change focus macro doesn't work smoothly or consistently, so I'm trying to figure out why it's failing. I think it might be partly due to differing latency between chars during the focus/follow changes. Sometimes maximizer doesn't swap the windows; other times the focus/follow doesn't change properly. Last night I ended up with 2 chars follow-strobing on each other. That was interesting.
This changes your viewpoint imidiatly, and its a basic blizz API-Function, so no addon is involved./script SetView(5);SetView(5);
This is mostly needed when trying to use taretted AOE spells with mouse-broadcasting, where the viewpoints need to be the same.

Thanks for starting this thread, it's been extremely helpful to me. For quite awhile I've been putting off going to a TL setup because I thought it would be a difficult thing to start, but much to my surprise it really wasn't. All praise Jamba, and the OP for breaking it down for my newish self.
I'm not using any mouse broadcasting functionality at the moment. I just like the SetView(5) script to reset my camera when I switch to a slave toon (especially handy for melee classes). I use a Picture-in-a-Picture layout for my slave windows, turn off all the auto-functions of the camera, and spin one of the windows around to act as a rearview mirror when I'm running around questing. At least it gives me a little warning when I'm about to get ganked from behind, or the opportunity to do something about it if my toons are a competitive level.Originally Posted by 'olipcs',index.php?page=Thread&postID=189137#post1 89137
Is there a place to find out what the commands are for jamba or is there a command within jamba to invite my team from my main i know basic commands within a macro using default /macro but i was wanting to know were to find a list of all the commands usable by jamba itself. Also when i switch leads i get unknown command "setmeasmaster all".
I believe the Jamba commands are listed in the Jamba sticky thread, on the macro/addon forum.
