GM post confirming Multiboxing being legitimate

Hi Franchesca,

From what I can see the initial suspension was due to suspicion that you may have been using a third party program to control your characters, not for the multi-boxing itself. Since then, the matter was investigated by our Account Administration team and you should have access to your accounts again.

There is no problem with you playing multiple characters, as long as you are the owner of the accounts and are in control of them (i.e. no third party programs, and no macro-usage that is not normally possible in-game).

Franchesca, the investigation was concluded on all of your accounts and all unlocked; no action has been taken against them, as the Account Administration team are satisfied that you did not use third party programs in this incident.

Please note that it is standard procedure in the case of account suspension that you would receive a whisper to inform you and be disconnected shortly after this; you would then receive an email to your registered email address with more information.

I do not know what investigations were performed at the time of the incident, only that it was decided your behaviour was suspicious and warranted suspension for investigation. This is standard, to ensure that you were not violating our policies by "botting".

You do pay during the time that you are suspended, but you should not be suspended again unless there is any additional evidence found to suggest you are using third party software.

After reading the post - it was not clear about what if any software the player was using. I am always weary about using mouse/kb hooking software (although I ran Synergy for years while I played without any problems)... that said Synergy has exactly 0 abuse potential and is used by a ton of people to admin multiple machines - not at all uncommon when you consider the subset of player who plays WoW - not exactly your average computer user, so therefore likely to have multiple computers.

There is that, what I found interesting was the first sentence:

As far as I can see the GM has zero problem with multiboxing software, as long as it is not the software contolling the characters (instead of the player controlling the characters).
