Default Boxed Shammies downing Balinda (Horde)!

I was fortunate enough to get into a few premades this last AV weekend and i discovered something amazing. 4 Grounding totems, bloodlust, some 500+ spell damage and the occasional chain heal = the ability to 4 man bal. Now this is not as fast as the whole team in, however it gives much more time for the rest of the team to be doing something else (like guarding galv for once). Simply run in drop your totems and start burning, when she spawns water elemental burn it down fast so it does not help eat up your groundings. And before you know it the bitch is on the floor, and everyone in the BG is in shock. Sound easy huh?

No..... unfortunately without a premaid it is completely impossible to convince the pug raid that you can handle her alone, and they just storm there anyways.

Sooooo all you video markers need to make it happen, and get the word out that we can do it, get in a premaid and film yourself downing it, and it will increase our chances to convince the pugs.

I find it much more effective to spend the first 10-15 minutes defending, before heading north. :P

    nice!

i can down galv alone and he wirlwind's and fears, instead of sheeping like balinda does, to make a target get full hp again.

u cant do galv with 2/3 ppl, but i've seen countless times 2/3 hordes alone in balinda's room killing her. and imagine before one of these last patches, where her hp was raised to balance things up.

alliance boss's in av are a joke.

Thing is, and it differs per BG, on all BG's people usually do the same thing voer and over. What you have to do is find out what parts they are doing good, and what parts they are not doing good.

And just go do the things your faction usually loses on or doesn't spend enough resources on. :P

That's the key to winning, in my opinion.

Balinda is soloable...nuff said. The taking down of galv is much more impressive. You don't even need a tank for balinda, more often than not it's a spriest. And her attacks are much more easily interupted, she does no dmg while casting, then you interupt it and just wait for her to start casting again for another interupt, whereas galv is always meleeing.

I would love to do this but in my EU battlegroup we have something called the Horde 'Fail Train' this is the tactic where every single horde travels North in 1 line as fast as they can and die horribly thus losing the game generally within minutes. If I defend I am always solo or with 1-2 other people and we get mass ganked by masses of Alliance.

My battlegroup loses AV it feels like every single time. If Horde win an AV its a talking point because its so rare.

I have a pally and 4 shaman set up with a resto shaman Blinda just leave her to me and she's dead no probs.

my best game in AV was defending with about 5 or so others. You get one good healer with your 5 man and set up in the courtyard behind the tree off to the side. Put down a earthbind totem in front of the entrance to the courtyard. Let the melee'rs keep the alliance out of the two towers and burn everybody that comes thru the entrance. Occassionally you will have a fight on your hands but if the healer/healers are doing their jobs you wont lose. I got the highest HKs with that defense. And the game did turtle but we did win, finally.

Im a big believer in "good offense is your best defense" type strategy. Takes the alliance awhile to figure out that theres a boxing group defending, especially when your hiding and they cant see your CL coming at them. lol.

I solo balinda all the time with 5 shamans. No healing even required (that 5th grounding totem helps a LOT - also take down the ele when she summons it otherwise the groundings get eaten up too fast).

I try to defend a lot but run into a couple problems. #1 - the horde towers are a bitch and a half to get up into compared to alliance towers, so taking them back is a serious PITA - taking back FWGY is easy though. #2 - lately there have been a lot of horde on D and not enough on O so I have been taking down balinda if no one else is, or moving on to SHGY/IWB to take that right away as well. Once we get to SP I usually go back on D as I'm much less effective across the bridge if my guys start to get picked off one by one.
