Default My first real MB v MB BG

A few hours ago I was in an av with my shaman team when I ran up against an alliance shaman squad Spatch, Latch, Natch, Katch and Xatch. What was ironic, was up until he showed up on their side I was being berrated about taking up slots and mbs should go to hell ect. Then they saw him (my team) and was like omfg they have one too and he is better geared! Send our MB after him!

What I noticed while getting toasted by Spatch and Co was that the alliance responded well to him being there (atleast thats what it looked like) because everytime I wanted some mb v mb action, the gates of hell opened up and I was wrecked. Meanwhile I was like guys, I need some support. I got none. Is it like this at all for the alliance in the Stormstrike BattleGroup? Because I am not feeling the love on horde side lol.

Oh and yes Spatch even without the help of your team I think you still would have beaten me. Your gear was much further along then mine. Hats off too you . And where did you disappear too? We where mounting a awesome comeback, then I noticed you werent there. Long story short, alliance summoned Ivus and we evened up the resources 45/45 but apparently about 20 hordies got cocky and thought they could teach Ivus a thing or two and so yah...we lost.

After playing BGs for a good while now on a couple of servers at 70 some rough generalisations can be made about horde and alliance. Horde seem for some reason to have an attitiude of you sink or swim on your own. Sometimes a horde will even just watch a fight you live and die on your own merits. The alliance generally suport and help each other and play more of a team. Horde basically play more like a group of individuals.

In history this makes a nice similarity to the Roman army and funny enough the Brbarians (or collectively known as the horde). The Barbarians were individual warriors brought up on legends of individual heroism. This is why a lot of the barbarians favoured 2Handed swords/axes. It meant they were islands of one fighting the enemy. Th romans however, used short swords so they could fight shoulder to shoulder and help each other. Unfortunately this is one reason Horde lose AVs a lot. Its basically the Horde V the Romans and we get creamed.

It's really funny how this works out in Reckoning. In AV Horde seem to have an every man for himself mentality but if you change it up to WSG, EotS or AB they take the team approach and seem more inclined to work together. Alliance side they tend to work together more often in AV (with the occasional exception of healers who tend to ignore everyone but the biggest, baddest warrior) while in the other three its every man for himself (I defy you to play AB and not find a fight in the road while a base is under attack or a WSG where somebody waltzes in by himself to grab the flag while the other nine are back at base or midfield). A Rogue jumped my mage at 35% hp with almost no mana in AV. Despite being able to get him down to around 40% I knew he'd get me as I had no cooldowns. I'm jumping, spinning, gemming and potting trying to keep up while two shaman healers just watched. When I died they jumped in to heal the meathead err shield who charged in after I fell. Yet they wonder why I never make them tables...

LoL....maybe I should have just lvl'd the alliance squad to 70 lol. They are currently 61. However, not a grind I wish to repeat lol.
