you can't whisper someone who ISN'T on your friends list from a trial account. for precisely this reason, i presume.

as far as ganking goes... i haven't had much trouble with it on my 5 druids (they're 54 1/2 now)-- sure i've had 70's gank me, but i like to see how much damage i can do to them before they wipe me out. or taking on more than one higher level is always fun... like just a little while ago i took on a 63 and a 58 at the same time, killed them 3 times each but we were fighting so close to the gy that they kept rezzing, so all my guys ran oom and died. this is what makes pvp servers so much fun! the griefers/campers are annoying because there's really nothing fun about someone you KNOW you don't have a chance against standing right beside your dead body, but that's why you have alts :]
