why would you need inscription on all shamans for that? Glyphs are not soulbound, one person can make them and give them to all the shamans. originally the inscriptor was supposed to get an extra major glyph, but last I heard even this was out - the only benefit so far being an epic BoE offhand, and a shoulder enchant slightly better than the new faction shoulder enchant.

Leatherworking or enchanting or blacksmithing seems better at the moment in terms of self-buffs, although the difference is so minor. Frankly its better to just spread out all the profs over your entire team, so everything can be covered. Even for leatherworking, everything except one or two pieces seem BOE at the moment, but obviously we haven't seen all the recipes yet.
Inscription is supposed to give you another gyph spot. So i think it is yet to be known if it is worth having 3 major gyphs over 2. But this very well could be a good option.
