Default New To Dual Boxing Should I worry about professions?

Hi there and thanks for your help,

Was wondering from those of you with experience should I be worrying about my professions on the characters I am trying to level through RAF? My gut is telling me that leveling should be my priority and professions could be handled afterwards O_o

    Thanks!

Depends on how many accounts you have, if you have 5 then you really want a (Dis)enchanter.

I think I took too meny professions a lot of them could be easyer to go back and level once you hit 70 if you find that you want them. But encharnting is a must if nothing else it will help free up bag space.

    Hey Azreal,

Your name seems very familiar to me, might be a coincidence, but I figure I might as well ask. Do you/did you by chance play a warrior on dark Iron by that name?

Ive levelled all sorts of professions on single boxing. As said i found the disenchanting one to be best. just one word of advice, take it asap. I left it late and sold greens I found early on. The mats these early greens 30-50 give are damn expensive in the AH to buy just to skill up on. take it early, keep all your mats then skill up. Only sell mats when you have skilled past their use.

gathering professions look good but I found that you level so fast in the early stages you can no longer skin/mine/herb the stuff in your new zones. Skilling the last 20-30 points to max out a skill is one hell of an expensive thing.

X2 on the enchanting it does seem like you can lvl that effectively at RAF speed. Skinning seems to go too, though I have needed to back track the odd time to give it a quick level up. But I think that was because I forgot to get training one time. you end up killing so many skinnable mobs it hurts me not to skinn them and pick up the cash.

Thanks, I took up enchanting and its coming in handy, I did try skinning but as mentioned i did backtrack trying to keep up with it so i just let it go, as for the warrior no dont think that was me.
    -Thanks!

Personally I think enchanting is a must but that is all I would do. You will want to keep enchanting leveled so you can keep disenchanting stuff while you run instances, especially in outland.

The rest of the professions increase so slowly with RAF that they will trail way off, and the time you take to make them go up is time you could be using to get to 70, where you can do 5x dailies to make way more money than professions ever will.

My first RAF team I tried professions and I found that all of the profs (even gathering ones) trailed behind the area/level I was at and I stopped trying to catch up. My 2nd (current) team I only have enchanting/skinning on my main and no profs on the others. So far I have been able to keep up Skinning, and I only really wanted Enchanting for DE'ing and I have tons of mats in bank for later. In order to get the most out of my RAF time, I will level profs on them later. Right now I just want to level as many teams to 60 before my time is up, or I get sick of it.
