I had a $200.00 bar bill this weekend from going out with a couple of friends. WoW is my cheap hobby.

This weekend I did have someone take enough time out of there day to tell me to 'F*ck off" to each one of my guys. I opened 5 reports, and the GM asked me why I opened five. I then clarified that I was verbally harassed by whispers on all 5 accounts, not one. FYI for anyone else you may want to clarify ahead of time if someone was that motivated.
Yeh I hear you. Staying home one weekend night a month rather than hitting the bar pays for a month of my 5 box wow.

Most people have the naive view of "I got owned by that guy cheating by playing 5 accounts at once" when they are the ones trying to kill 5 characters. Only if someone can 1 v 5 a 5 player group and not beat a 5 box do they have an argument against multiboxing. Besides that it's all QQ.

Yup agree with a lot of what is being said, and as I posted on one of my personal QQ post about non MB's, 16 was the magic number there.

And man the amount of gas I save on not going out pays for my WoW habit, needless to say I only have 4 accounts but still. Shoot I do some travel for work and the amount it cost for a room and food in one day a lot of times can pay for 2-3 months of WoW, just imagine the bill for taking out a customer for dinner shoot that will pay for at least 6-9 months of WoW.

Younger folks that dont have a job, which most of these kids are since they would not be playing WoW they would be at work if they did have jobs dont understand that we do it because we enjoy it and they can think whatever they want it will only change when we finnally get tired of the game and quit all together.

And also agree on the fact that a non mber will attack a MB right away, case and point last night I was on for a bit just waiting on dinner to get done and went to do a quest or 2 and what happens I am setting up my stuff, sitting drinking for mana and some 57 decides he wants to kill me and he does since I was not ready I come back and he tries again, well big mistake budy, he dies and then after I wait for him to rez he rezes as far as posible and gets on mount and he takes of fast, I went after him but he got away

    Extremely.

If you respond to them in any way shape or form, you're just feeding them. Why not completely own them by ignoring them altogether?

i dont agree with whoever says "oh, must be like 11 years old" i think the people are around 15 years or younger, and im in my teens i just happen to be lucky to have parents that play, but let me use the accounts.
btw by the tos it´s not allowed to share accounts.

    please stop it.

if you want to dual / multibox ... do it the legal way please

I have 5 seperate accounts myself but isnt there some 'get out clause' when the accounts are for siblings or something?

BTW I put 14 and was surprised to see many agree. You can see some ass hat complain mightily that he couldnt defeat 5 players in a BG and doesnt actually get that no one defeats 5 players in a BG. Thats like a 5 boxer taking on a co ordinated army of 25 guys and complaining about why he couldn't pwn them and how they must obviously be cheating.

My last response to the 'wow that must be expensive' was- 'I consider WoW to be my hobby and as far as hobbies go its fairly cheap'-- that got the response --'fair enough'--

I know people who pay more for 3 golf balls that they will lose in a week than I pay for 5 wow accounts for a month. Plus golf is really really sad.

Well in this case it is legal. You can only share your account with ONE (1) minor. So if his mom, dad, and himself have an account he could legally box 3 accounts up until the age of 18. After the age of 18 he would have to transfer those accounts or have his mom and dad call blizzard to change the account to his name (which is not easy).

But if he has a brother/sister that boxes only 1 of them can be on his mom and dad's account.

I think the age varies all over the place. That probably really is a lot of money to an 8-year-old. But even the 12-year-olds have cell phones now and text message each other like Avogadro's Constant times per day, so they have to be paying at least that in a cell phone bill.
They are probably on a family plan, which is paid for by their parents. I would bet that nine out of ten teenagers with cell phones have no idea how much it costs per month, and the others only know because their parents are constantly yelling at them to "GET OFF THAT PHONE IT COSTS $50 A MONTH!!!" Remember that during those years your parents pay for rent, for food, for clothes, for school items, for transportation, for computers, for internet access, for phones, for cable TV... it is natural to never even think about the costs, even in those times when your parents rhetorically ask if you understand how much something costs. Few kids have any idea what their parent's income is.

Mostly it's just grasping at straws, like a neighbor who is showing off his new car, and you point out that you have a much better one. So he makes fun of you for "wasting" so much money. He's just saying it to salvage his dignity at that point. One of the criticisms that people aim at multiboxers is that we "have no lives." Even though multiboxing doesn't have to take any more time than single boxing. It's just a way to soothe your ego when a multiboxer flatlines you with one cast.

I play 10 accounts, but this doesn't bother in the slightest.
The very fact their contact is completely unsolicited, and the quality of the comments as rude as possible, says far more about their emotional state of mind than I ever could.
I just laugh and put it down to the microwave radiation from cellphones.

I just realized the name of this thread is pretty awesome

Someone should make an MMO named Age of QQ
Large part of the game will be forum based, where you earn QQ points to "balance" your character in game.
