Although the "QQ Posters" act like they are 11, (sometimes younger) I disagree that they are that young. I doubt the average 11 year old is going to sit there and conjure up some type of Perry Mason style case against multiboxing (or anything) like I have seen on the forums. I would say that the average QQ'er is going to be around the out of high school / in college / part time job age. If you look at the way a lot of those posts are written, they come across as being very manipulative and most of these posts are created late at night when most of the kiddies are supposed to be in bed. Most of these posts appear to be made by someone who has been playing all day, has nowhere to be in the morning and needs to get some sleep.

So 18-22 is my guess. GET A JOB!

22 and a Video Editor and a Dual-Boxer (only two for now...more may come soon ), so I strongly disagree with you on the age thing. Most 18-22 won't freak out over that and try to get themselves a ban or suspension, the age bracket in my mind is only going to be 14-17 and maybe some older individuals with a less than average IQ.

for some people, being manipulative is in their blood (well, more like they get it from their parents), but they're just not very good at it at age 15
imagine the rage of someone who really doesn't fit in well at school, finds vidya games one of the few things he gets some attention for, and then getting jealous of someone who's (once again) older than him and has more power/money to "show him up" (he feels)

then again, it could be someone older who feels the same way. that's been known to happen.

    That's what I've always done.

And yes, they are probably low/mid-teens. When I was 13 or 14 I had no idea about how much rent was, or groceries, or what my father's salary was. By the time I was 18 I'd had a crash course in all of those, but before that I suppose that I would have been shocked that anyone would pay $X a month to multibox.

Of course, I'd have the common courtesy not to be a douchebag about it, but that's just me. As Fursphere said, just ignore them.

You totally fall outside of the category I mentioned. I said 18-22, out of high school with maybe a light college or work schedule and nothing better to do. Not a young professional like yourself.

If you respond to them in anyway, you're just feeding them. Why not completely own them by ignoring them altogether?

i dual box, so i go with the... its $1 a day. geez. you cant afford $1 a day? i pay $2 for my coffee, and $5 of gas just to get to and from work. there's many other payments, but i stick with the daily $$ amounts just to make it something they can relate to, as most kids dont have monthly payments. but they do have daily lunch and busfare and such.

I was going to agree with you because I thought you were titling your post in the fashion "The Stone Age", not talking about specific QQ messages. It really seems like lately the quality of communication in WoW has gone downhill. I remember when a decent percentage of the people you encountered in the game were generally rational, grown-up individuals who were interested in having a good time. Now it seems like nobody is in that boat, and everyone is interested in being condescending, belittling, and irritating to everyone they meet.... always. Say anything in trade chat, be it a question or a statement, and if you get any answers at all at least one will be aimed as far away from helping you as they can get. That's why I don't see myself ever going back to solo-boxing - I couldn't play this game anymore without the nice warm niche of independence I've carved into my server.

On an unrelated note, I got turned down for tanking a pug Karazhan run on my Paladin last week. (Solo, not with my multibox team) I've tanked Rage Frostwhisper, Gruul, Magtheridon, Void Reaver (Through 100% of the fight, the warriors couldn't keep up with my threat rocket) and solo-tanked all of Karazhan. Their reason? "She's a no-skill hacker" Direct quote relayed to me by proxy, several of my guild were in the group, but left after hearing that. I suppose that was my poetic justice, their pug most likely fell apart after losing several of my guildies who didn't want to have anything to do with their condescension.

This is your fallacy, right here.

I think the age varies all over the place. That probably really is a lot of money to an 8-year-old. But even the 12-year-olds have cell phones now and text message each other like Avogadro's Constant times per day, so they have to be paying at least that in a cell phone bill. What the 20+ crowd really mean is "I have that much money and more, but I'm so socially advanced, I would rather spend all my cash on drugs and my rockstar lifestyle than your pathetic hobby."

And while I know you said you know this, I have to say again, ignore the haters. Honestly, the absolutely worst thing you can do to them is to not indulge them with your time. They want you to respond and give them validation - if you don't, it's worse than any clever retort you can conjure, I promise.
No matter where you go, there you are.
