    Default Retribution Paladin in Wrath of the Lich King Beta is UNREAL!

    The retribution paladin in Wrath of the Lich King Beta has damage per second (dps) incredibly high! Not only has the retribution paladin got some sort of save death capability where they reach 1 health point and they become full health and maan, but they can kill 3 elemental shamans before the paladin dies when 6 shamans are blasting them with everything they got! During a battle in Wintergrasp, I noticed that paladins were not only able to kill a large number of players, but they had this certain ability where after a lot of players are hammering them, they instantly become full health right when they reach about 1 health point and are about to die. Then later on I saw Undercity being attacked and judging by the rate of number of attack messages, that is guards being killed, it appeared there were about 4 or 5 players raiding it. When I got there, there was ONE paladin at full health killing level 75 guards. By the way in Wrath of the Lich King, the guards in major cities are going to be level 75 up from 65 currently. Anyway, I proceed to throw everything I got at him and he kills 3 of my level 80 shaman before he finally dies. During trade chat, it's common for a number of player discussions about the dps ability of the paladin and how it's got to be nerfed before release but the way it is now, it's really high. Has anyone else noticed this?

    I'm glad I've got a paladin but if the dps doesn't change in Wrath of the Lich King on them, I'm turning him into retribution to destroy whatever I can

    Hehe, ive already made my pala into a retardin I must admit i hope that rets are gonna be OP just for a short period of time before blizz nerfs them, would be pretty fun to be a killing machine for the first time in paladins history.

    Just started a Paladin/Mage combo last night with RAF for the sole purpose of fast leveling to 60, then making the paladin my new main. They finally fixed the mana problem for ret so Im hoping it works out well.

    On another good note, RAF is OP! Level 15 in 1 hour 45 minutes. :P

    Na Blizz has already started changing paladins, the last update saw every Ret ability lowered and they will continue to do so until the balance is found.

    I'm sure they will not leave any class overpowered for long as it's not their intention. It's probably just a side effect of them trying to make ret better than it is, as now it's one of those specs that not many people take too seriously.

    Lay of Hands will give the paladin their full health and in WoTLK it doesn't cost mana at all. The talanet Judgements of the Wise returns 20% of the paldins maximum mana evry time they use a judgment. Divine storm will proc whatever seal the paly has up to the targets it hits the last time I checked. Blizzard will level out paladins dps when they find the right balance for the coeffecients that will not gimp holy and prot dps.

    Each beta patch they are slowly chopping away at the Paladin damage. Did you use Thunderstorm at all to blow them away? they don't have any abilities to get to a target quickly except a minor run speed talent. If they bubble just heal through their damage then boom boom Their stuns and whatnot are mostly spells so grounding eats them.

    Divine Storm combined with Seal of Light is what was healing the Ret Paladin.

    12% of base mana Melee Range
    Instant cast 10 sec cooldown
    Requires Melee Weapon
    An instant weapon attack that causes Holy damage to up to 4 enemies within 8 yards. The Divine Storm heals up to 3 party or raid members totaling 20% of the damage caused.

    It also has a high proc rate on seals, earlier in beta with some lucky crits and such I've gotten 3/4+ of my HP back, but they've nerfed it since and will continue to nerf I think.

    They are already balanced at 80 and continue retuning each patch. It looks like blizz is trying to make ret the leveling spec. I wouldn't expect paladins to have the level of dps output they have now at release time. They can already tank and heal as well as other classes, just don't see it happening.
