was skinning >300 nerfed?

my RAF team just got to level 60 and I've moved to the outlands ( like I have done for 12 level 70's in the past )
I can't get my skinning to level up, I've killed and skinned at least 50 pigs now and I've just reached 305, which is what you need to be to skin a level 61 pig.
I had to pass up several 61 pigs because my skill was too low. The first thing I did when I got to the outlands was to train skinning so that I can level up to 375.
When I mouse over the dead pig it displays are orange and skinnable, which should mean a 99%+ chance to level up, not a 1% chance.

anyone else have this problem?
I opened a ticked but didn't see a response in 2 hours.

Skinning just sucks at higher levels, working as intended.

They did change it so that skinning takes way longer to level above a skill of 300. Pre BC skinning was the easiest craft to level so they made it way harder in BC. That being said, it did NOT take me 50 hellporks to gain one point!!

that crap starts from 225 if im right, lvling skinning with my lvl70 took some time to get up

just keep at it, remember you need 5*level to skin a monster. Definitely skin and kill as many pigs and ravagers in hellfire as you can to get to 325, because once you are in nagrand at level ~65 or so with all the Nessingway quests (kill 30 of X) you will level to 375 no problem.

remember to use the skinning macro as well, I think its something like:

#showtooltip Skinning
/cast [target=focustarget][] skinning (or replace focustarget with however you choose master)

i drop this onto the "1" key on my skinner, and on my master I just target the dead corpse after looting and mash 1 until its skinned.

Yes this is annoying, and already there way below 300.
I'm skinning mobs in tanaris and have a hard time leveling up as well. my skill is about 225 and the mobs i skin show a skin-tooltip as orange. i fail a couple times, then finaly get the skin but no skill up.. (and yes, i did train for skinning up to 300)
