Thread: Speed issues

    Default Speed issues

Well I got to 60 today with around 34hours played. Having a blast now with questing, instancing and ganking :-)
Best is the hordes that help friends level.Obviously I cannot take on a lvl70 feral druid but I can kill his friend each time he spawns :-)

But thing is, once went into ramparts my computer slowed down a lot. I`m running 3 chars on my pc and 1 (main)on my laptop.
Once I entered the computer started to do massive loading, while you would think it would be faster then hellfire since your in a private zone. CPU load is at 100% and memory at 1600/2000.

    My computer is kinda slow:
    amd 3gig
    2gig ram
    7600GT video

But the decrease in speed was pretty bad.

I`m thinking of going back to xp since vista uses a lot of memory as well but it seems like the cpu load is to high.

Anyone has any ideas?I`m running lowest resolution and grapics. Should I manually change resolution to 400x300 or something?

Right now my clones have a little lag, when I start moving they follow a little behind. Takes them a sec or so to start moving, or is that normal?

I'm running 5 clients on a 6600 quad 2.4Ghz pc, and my clones always run 6-10 feet behind me as well. I think it's normal.

As for your graphics... I know it's possible to turn up the graphic detail beyond what the slider bars can, using commands, so maybe the opposite is true as well?

Have you tried to stop any other programs from running, to free up as much mem as possible?

You are using a single core processor I'm guessing. Upgrade the processors.

If I`m upgrading my processor. I need a new motherboard, memory and grapic cards as well. I`m not really looking forward to that.
