Well just wanted to add to this, since I had a positive experience yesterday.

I am now 44 almost 45 on my second tri-team, should be 45 after I turn in the carrot quest which I got done last night before going to bed, /sigh did not go to bed till 1230 getting this run done, it was fun I got all the collection quest done in there except for one of my char's she did not get her troll sweat drop but she almost done wont take long a few kills tonight should have her done with that.

So I went and started the Pirate hats + killing pirate quest and I run into a bunch of alliance there is like 5-7 there I was surprised to say the least never really see much when I go there 1-2 people sure but that's about it. Anyways some shaman is there and his like 'Hi Triboxer!" So I buff him and the hunter he was with and he thanks me and says how great the buffs are, the hunter said nothing but the shaman did, well I thought the entusiasm he showed and the fact that he at least thanked me was great. I healed him a bunch of times and his hunter friend also. The others I buffed and when they needed a heal I threw a heal there way, none thanked me but hey it was enough that the shaman did, I could of let them be killed but I'm not like that if I see an alliance that needs help I will help even if they hate.

And it was great to go to Tanaris and then to ZF I did like 3 levels there last night, so soon I can leave the place and move on to other places, I should be 47 by tonight I think and will hit Hinterlands as a lot have suggested recently. Then on to Searing Gorge. Should be 60 by weekend maybe or close to 60 then back to team 1 to level to 70 they only need 5 levels.
    Daggerspine Alliance: Phoebus(Tank), Soozanuna(Heals/Tailor), Angakak (Enchanter), Wakantanaka(Herb/Alch), Znakharka, Jonhyone(JC), Marious(Other Tank/BS), Magnux(Enchanter), Coyolxhauqui(LW)

Yes, it happens but it's still hard to get used to. Constantly getting hate whispers is unsettling. Anytime I see another boxer (which is rare) I go out of my way to /wave /hug or just chat. The positive interaction always raises my spirits. There's one particular boxer on my server (Area 52) Draenei shamans (female toons I think) who I would keep running into in Tanaris. Despite being Horde I would still exchange pleasantries with the enemy. Funny how that happens sometimes.
Like lots of people have previously stated in other posts, the hate dies down as you get higher up in level. Now that my guys are almost 60 I've been enjoying nothing but positive remarks everywhere. The only hate I've seen in a long while was in Hammerfall by another boxer, of all things!

Last month I was only running 4 of my team when I see this Warrior/Shaman duo with the same naming convention with the Shaman on follow. I'm thinking "cool another boxer." Since I rarely see boxers I buffed these two guys, then I spread out my team so he could see that the buffs came from another boxer. Well, instead of getting a thank you, or "Wow another boxer, or a hello, or anything like that, this guy looks at my 4 toons and states, "5 is better ". I guess the smiley face was supposed to gloss over the insult maybe? idk. Whatever.

I could have blasted him with a myriad of responses like ragging about he/she was only playing two, but I bit my tongue, lol'd and ran off.

I just don't understand why you bother engaging with these people.

Ignore them and let them vent off enough steam to the point where they say something reportable. Then report them and /glow in the knowledge they're either getting a warning, a ban or at least a step up towards one.
Or install a mod that only lets guildies and friends talk to you if you want to go that far.

    Just....don't talk to them.

    Is it just me?

there is an old saying "Never argue with an idiot. They will lower you down to him and then beat you with experience". I have lost many battle to these idiots. Maybe it is just me, but every time i am like "Maybe they will understand", then again sense when do kids listen. My dad had this "tough love knowledge" where i would be like:
    No dad your wrong
    Yes i am right
    no dad your wrong
    yes i am right
    no dad your wrong
    --Slap across the ass--
    Yes dad your right

Too bad you cannot do that any more

I guess I'm lucky too. On Cenarius I've only run into people who think it's cool or into other multi-boxers. In one hour of questing in STV I saw no fewer than 8 boxers running around. When I was a lowbie in Redridge I ran into someone else running a warlock/spriest team. We were both the same level, both using the lock as the "Leader", both wearing the same gear, and both doing the same quest. I've got a screenshot of us after I said "Ohhh, this is awkward"
I get the feeling that the generally positive attitude I met on Eldre'Thalas was due to this as well. Most people would ignore me, some would buff my group, others would make positive comments or ask about how I was doing it. Only one person was negative and after calling me "cheater" and "lame" she ran along on her way. After a while I noticed that there were *lots* of players who were at least dual-boxing. Some of them were high-levels plowing through mobs for their twinks, others were two/three-boxing same-level characters.

The complainers like to say that as more people do it, it will become less tolerated, but it seems to be the opposite from my experience-- as more people do it, the rest of the players become accustomed to it and it doesn't bother them for the most part.
