I have been report loads of times, to my knowledge i am the only multiboxer on my server and its constant "lol" "lol" "wow" "lol" how can i do that? you must be rich!

Same. I think I am the only one active, because there was a 5 boxing guy, but he never came online again.
The stuff I hear is somewhat like the post author. Suddenly people start "go get a life", "loser ######", and things like this. It is fun tho.

One day one guy was saying a lot of sex crappy about me in general, I reported, GM answered in like 30 seconds, and the guy went offline. And like 2 hours later my beta key came up in e-mail. Just a good coincidence, but: do a good action and you are invited.

It is the nature of the human beast to want what it cant have. Once the realization that they cannot have it sets in then they turn on the desired item and now want to destroy it so that others cannot have it or benefit from it.

Multi-boxing is still very new to the majority of players in WOW. Access to it and the opportunity to multi-box is available to everyone. However the majority are clueless on how to set it up. So instead of taking the time to research and learn how to do it, they would rather fume and vent and point fingers at those of us who can do it.

I was dual-boxing my combo (spriest/warlock - level 49 at the time) last Saturday in Hinterlands (MB Zone!!) and I was doing the Princess quest (Wanted: Vile Priestess Hexx and Her Minions) when a level 50 Warrior with a level 70 Hunter ran by me. I buffed them up with Fort on my Priest and even jumped out of Shadowform to throw a heal to top-up the Warrior. I then see the following in chat:

Warrior: "LOL Noob can't play the game by himself so he needs to buy a 2nd account for help to play the game!"
Me: "Says the guy with a level 70 doing all the quests for him..."

He didn't have much else to say after that. I see him back in Raventusk shortly after and right in front of him I dinged from level 49-51 by handing in about 5 quests and he was still level 50. All he says this time is "/reported for hacks, enjoy your ban loser!!" I didn't bother replying and went on my way until he started sending me whispers with over the top vulgarity at which point enough was enough and I reported/ignored.

About an hour later his level 70 buddy sends me a whisper asking if I reported his friend since he got a 72-hour suspension. I responded "No, but if you find out who did tell him/her that all of Azeroth says Thanks!" He replies: "Who's Azeroth?" And I'm the noob....

Thanks for the replies folks, and the thing is most of the people that are aholes its right after I buffed them with my team. No "Thanks." Or anything just the negative comments and I'm like damn you all are mest up at least thank me before calling me a noob.

And for the most part I just ignore them, I mean its a game and I enjoy it but just a downer to be talked about negatively regardless of where it is at. And I thought the same thing about the lock that was out there with his low level friend, so your doing quest for a low level gratz to you buddy. But even though they talk and talk I will continue to do it since I enjoy it and when I dont then I will log one of my 70's and solo

You all continue to enjoy your multiboxing experience and for those of you that are new to it dont let the aholes discourage you from doing it.

"Nice! Is it worth it?"

I think people are more and more aware of this practice and are starting to accept it. Well, on my server anyway

Hey, I've been lurking for a bit around here and this post made me want to reply.

I've definitely noticed that players on both factions treat me a lot differently then when I was playing solo. In PvP situations people love it and I'll get whispers like "hey that's fckn awesome!" and horde will go out of there way to gang up one me or camp me if its not in a BG. Little do they know that whenever they camp me I have a secondary fivebox squad to play. While they hover over those corspes for 10 mins, I'm already inside an instance getting more XP

However in normal questing and PvE people aren't as cool about it. I've gotten plenty of "you must have too much money" or just "you're retarded" comments. Fortunately the accusations of botting and threats of reporting have been few and far between. Seems most people on my server know the difference between a boxer and a botter.

The previous replies regarding basic human psychology are right on the money here. Especially when it comes to the teenagers.

That reminds me of something funny...I was running around Hinterlands a long time ago and someone was like "WHOA! Theres 5 of you!"

I was like "what!?? I don't see 5, I only see 1!" this went on for a minute while i played a long, thoroughly confusing him. Was quite funny and I never did tell him I was 5 boxing.

i guess i'm really lucky, when people start giving me crap about boxing i will point them to Prepared and say "there is a guy boxing 32 guys, go check that guy out lol.

I guess I'm lucky too. On Cenarius I've only run into people who think it's cool or into other multi-boxers. In one hour of questing in STV I saw no fewer than 8 boxers running around. When I was a lowbie in Redridge I ran into someone else running a warlock/spriest team. We were both the same level, both using the lock as the "Leader", both wearing the same gear, and both doing the same quest. I've got a screenshot of us after I said "Ohhh, this is awkward"
