Why do they hate us (Non-MBs)?

So I am leveling in STV and doing the mastery quest, and I run into some 63 lock running with his low level friend and his like "Multiboxing Noob" I was gonna say "True, true I just started multiboxing." But I ignored him, some other guy was like "You will always be a virgin." Oh really, if that the case than my daughter is not really my daughter, I tell him come talk to me when you have a career and kids. And what was his reponse "I'm only 16, deal with it." So a teenager not surprised at all about that one. Some 32 rogue was like "Loser" /sigh all these people just love to make themselved feel better about themselves by insulting some one they know nothing about.

So how many times do you all get hit with this? Seems like I get hit by this daily. So how do you all deal with these kind of people? Oh and the oposite faction loves to kill me, but again I am on a PVP server so it dont bother me much, I just hate having to run to my body, and it dont help that I have a druid and 2 mages, darn wisp form always loses the mages after like a minute. Its not like I was not getting ganked by the horde on my 70's when doing solo rep grind before, so not much change now that I started MBing.

One last question, and I probably know the answer already. Why does the opposite faction love to one gank lowvis in STV, Southshore, and Lakeshire (I know all alliance toons, I am sure a horde player can get on and name the places that the alliance gank at) and then gang up on you in other areas when your on your 70's? I only have run into a few who will face me one on one and for them I have respect when they beat the crap out of me because they dont need anyone else to show they can PVP, while others will do nothing with out back up.

Well thats my rant for today, thanks for listening. Just wanted to vent since its kind of dishartening to get instulted by these other players, even though I know most are a bunch of kids and since i am Alliance I know that its a buch of kids since they QQ a lot all the time.

I usually get asked "wow you must be rich to have extra money to play 5 account". I usually replay "i only pay $65 a month for 5 accounts (i pay 6 months at a time)". Then they are like "that's a lot of money, get a life noob". Then i say "Trust me $65 a month is nothing compared to my monthly food billed, mortgage, cable, GAS, and internet". They say "get a life you stupid noob, i'm only 14". Like you at that point there is no use talking to them cause they are too young to understand. Cause we all know KIDS (that is right KIDS) know EVERYTHING between 14-18 years old.

Last one: The other time someone just kept spamming me with questions when AV was going on. He was like "If you don't answer me i am going to report you to the gm for botting", stupid me "I am not botting". Him "Then how can you control all those guys". Me in the middle of bal fight don't answer him... Sends that to me 5 more times and then is like "going to report you". I was like "ok, i love talking to gm about multi boxing and they love when they get a ticket from people like you cause they can see me own alliance in av". He keeps on whispering me the whole bg, i got pissed and was like "i am fighting here, why don't you do the same instead of whispering me". If i was doing a shitty job in battle ground i would have reported him 5 x afk but that whole battle ground i was pushing forward.

I have been report loads of times, to my knowledge i am the only multiboxer on my server and its constant "lol" "lol" "wow" "lol" how can i do that? you must be rich!

Only been 70 for a few days now with my 5 box group, but have certainly received plenty of negititivty for it. I only reply to people I'm familiar with and like talking (guildies, buddies, etc) or the few random people that actually come off as sounding nice, everyone else I ignore by default...well I don't put them on ignore but I don't respond to them. I like this approach as I can just keep tabs on what they are saying. If they get really upset and its funny, I take an SS. My goal is too make a big collage, get a nice frame, and mabey hang it up at work

Lol, yeah I've received these messages too, but lately I've gotten mostly positive feedback. One of the best dialogues I had happened last night with a player who addressed me by saying "You pay $150/month?"

I replied, "Yeah."
He then replied to me, "Wow. Blizzard must love you."
I replied, "haha."
His reply, "I would love you... for $150/month" <- screenshot :P

He went on to tell me that one of his friends runs 5-accounts and he enjoys watching him tear $hit up.

Alas, getting back to your point - I honestly almost never read the messages that I get from people, unless they're being polite or if they have a question. Call it what you will, but when I don't say anything back, people tend to get more infuriated with the fact that I'm simply doing something that they either deem 'impossible', 'cheating', or something else. It's kind of funny to watch people complain; I get a kick out of it.

The simple fact is that no matter what you are doing, 1 character or 5, if other people don't know how it's done, or want to be able to do it they'll complain.

The other simple fact is that learning to spot the 'kids' from the people who actually want to learn more is key.

I've gotten a wide array of whispers/emotes/yells from Horde AND Alliance players. Some whining, others curious as to how I'm doing what I'm doing. I have yet to receive the "you must be rich" whisper thankfully, but most of the players I seem to attract are the mature, curious crowd.

My usual whispers consist of "that's awesome," "teach me to be like you," or "2 times the gold must be nice." In which case I either choose to respond with information on what I'm doing, how I'm doing it, and why it's not against the TOS intilled by Blizzard.

It's all about the player base of your server, I guess. But it's better to just ignore someone who's annoying you, than to argue with them. After all, do you really want to argue with the same noob 5 times? :P`

It bugs me when people accuse me of botting. If for no other reason than i feel like with a little information, they might change their outlook. Sadly, the misinformed people are the last ones to listen reason.

If people don't like it that i multi-box. Fine. But i at least want people to know why they hate me.

I've actually made several in-game friends that started out as a simple "how're you doing that?". But, before I got to my 60s (1 bub from 68 now) I always got the 'noob' (to which I reply 'yep'), or 'cheater', and stuff like that. I also get /cheers from a lot of people now, including Alliance (mainly shaman, go figure). Another funny thing is "Bur" (what Horde sees when Alliance says "lol") and I just type 'bur' back, without turning off my keyclone. All 5 shaman saying bur makes for a funny screenshot.

What I find extremely amusing is the Alliance who watch me for a bit (such as the 70 rogue the other day in Terrokar, when I was 64), figure out which one is the 'leader', and attack her, thinking it'll screw me over. He attacked, caught 4 em/trink/cl and a forest of fire nova totems. He didn't bug me after that

There's also the 70 huntard (not a hunter) who kept attacking me in Nagrand the other morning, and dieing every time. I got about 12 hks from her. Couldn't ever figure out what her deal was.

there was a shining example of this just this morning in SSO

some random guy started whispering me about how sad i was and how he could two shot a mob without 6 toons (he apparently can't count)
so i replied "yah, i don't need a tank either"
his response was to ramble on (for several lines) about how he's destro and doesn't use a pet and generally how 1337 he was
at this point i whispered him "facepalm" since the dimwit was talking to my prot pally this whole time
then he made some last ditch remarks to sound cool and started ignoring me

I typically get very positive responses to multiboxing...one time I got a hate message from someone only I don't think it was towards multiboxing...

I was sitting in evergrove getting ready to hop a flight to Mok'nathal or whatever, and right before I took the flight someone on my faction says "I hate you and you're a loser".

So in midair I'm like "wtf?" I sent him a whisper saying "thats an awfully strong word to use on someone you don't even know"

To make a long story short he started claiming he knew all sorts of things about me just from seeing me in game, to which I responded "Now what could you possibly know about me other than the fact that I play a female orc shaman in a video game"?

After talking to him a bit more he basically made himself look like an idiot. Asked me what sex I am in real life to which I responded "None of your business" and he basically claimed that since I'm a male playing a female character I'm a loser and he hates me. So it wasn't even a complaint about the fact that I'm multiboxing, AND he had no proof on whether I am male or female. So after he said that I said "Thats all I needed to hear to prove that you're an idiot" and /ignored him

Aside from that I've only ever been harassed by one person in-game - on my own faction. I made a post about it awhile ago but he stole one of my kills and then every time we're in the same zone together he tries to make fun of me in /1, so I ignored him on all of my characters - hes a moron. Cool thing is usually everyone else defends me because I've helped everyone else in the zone against alliance, or helped them kill bosses/quest mobs by having them tag them and then DPSing them down, etc
