Anyone tried the Brewfest boss yet? Strategies/ideas?

Brewfest quest in BRD

Pally tank with 4 ele shammy is easy.

I put the shammies in the far corner from the boss and drop totems. After starting the fight I consecrate and build aggro for a few seconds before popping fire elementals. He goes down nice and easy this way and I don't wish to waste any of the summons so I wait for the CD between kills. I'm sure there are better strats but I like simple and I have plenty to do between kills to keep me busy.

I've killed him everyday with my 5sham group. 37 second kills makes 5 kills in about 5-7 minutes. only using 1 earth ele per kill. Meanwhile all the pugs are still fighting him the first time at the 5 min mark

Basically just made my usual giant X formation in his room (KILL THE BAR NPCs FIRST IF YOU ARE USING FIRE ELEMENTALS ;( ), face inward, and have 1 sham heal Boss' target. CL takes care of the adds.
This fight gets worse as time goes on for Boxers, because of steadily increasing adds and OOM. DPS race ftw. Happy hunting!

Edit: 3 Rams and 2 Kodos so far. Plannin on having all 5 shams with Kodos by the end. People already hate me in shatt lol.
PS. Make sure you nab a couple teleporter remotes. They are so much fun!!

Same here. For shammies he's cake, but even for a regular group the fight is a mere tank-and-spank. I pugged for the event twice with my (solo) hunter and holy paladin. The only annoying thing was the "barrel"-CC, but basically it's a simple and straightforward fight -- so there's no particular strat I could advise you to apply.

After more discussion on the matter, we have hotfixed Coren Direbrew to drop the Brewfest Kodo and the Brewfest Ram for both Alliance and Horde. You now have an equal chance to get both mounts regardless of your faction! The droprate they have makes them uncommon but not very rare. The mounts that Coren drops are permanent

Well I wonder if this went into effect last night. I recieved 1 ram last night. It would be nice to get one for toon. Hopefully upping the drop rate will make that happen

MMO Champion is behind on quoting blues and this one is from September 19 so unfortunately don't expect your chances to get better. I'm 24 of 28 I think, with no mounts and no remotes. I've seen all the badge trinkets, the dagger once and one of the +45 stam trinkets twice.

Edit: The armory list each mount as a 3 to 14% chance, the same for the remote. If I had to guess, that is static though, as in he drops a mount 3 to 14% of the time and which one is random. I have a hard time believing it's 6 to 28% total.
