    Default HW multicaster question

I'm thinking about reactivating my WOW accounts and trying out 5 boxing. I'm looking at going hardware only versus software setup. Question is how do you use the secondary computers when you are not playing games? From the setups I've seen folks running hardware seem to use 2 way switch chained off the multicaster to switch between a broadcast channel and a dedicated channel. Is there a better way of doing this? I currently have a 8 port Apex KVM and would like to reuse it if possible. Ideally I would like to have a HW boxing setup and still be able to use the secondary PC's for other purposes (eg not via a multicaster) without having to recable each time.

I just use multiplicity to control them, but I have big monitors on each so it's easy to see what's going on.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)

Thanks, I'll check out tightvnc & multiplicity. I've used ultravnc in the past with ok results.
