Level 60 for free?

I really cant remember where i heard this but it goes a little something like this:

I heard that once you get to level 80 you are able to start a new character from 60. I really cant remember where i heard this but could it be true?

Are you thinking of the Death Knights? When the Wrath of the Lich King expansion comes out, as long as you have a level 70 already, you'll be able to start a Death Knight, which starts at level 55.

I believe you only need a level 55, not even 70 - so you can swap a lousy 55 for a soon to exit the starting area at 58 with full blue gear and epic mount DK - pretty good deal for people who never got around to 60+. I believe you need 1 per server and account you want a DK on.

you need -1- minimum lvl 55 character on your account, to enable you to create a Death Knight, which starts as a lvl 55 character. You can only create 1 Death Knight pr server, and if you play on a PvP server, it cannot be created on the opposing faction, if you allready have a character there.

All the normal restrictions apply, just add that you need 1 character on your account who is lvl 55 or above. End of story.

No nothing to do with the DK, supposedly once you hit 80 you can start a new character of your choice from level 60.

Are you sure you can create DKs on every server even if you don't have l55 on those server ? ie, because I have 1 level 55 somewhere I could create 20 DKs on 20 servers if I wanted to ?

I think (from beta) that you can create as many as you have slots available but only on servers where you already have at least 1 55? or maybe you can only create 1 per server you have a 55 but I doubt you can create 1 per server if you don't have a 55 already on that server (if you do you could roll on any server and start with that char gold; maybe sell all the stuff; send to alt; delete; rinse and repeat)

1 level 55 any where = as many DKs as you want anywhere - the one restriction being that if you have one faction on a PVP server already you can not make a Dk of the opposite faction on that same server (just like now with any other characters). You obviously can not execed the 10 toons per server and whatever the max toons total is (there is one, I have a friend whose 5 y/o liked making toons and getting them to like 4 or 5. She maxed out his account becasue she would make them all over the place and just let them site there.)
