    Default Monitor Flickering

Hello, My monitor has been flickering. Before I run out and buy a new monitor what are somethings I can do to isolate the problem. I don't have another monitor laying around so switch that out too see if it fixes it won't be an option. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks

Does this happen all the time ie at desktop or only when your playing wow?

If its happening at desktop try chaing the refresh rate around and the resolution.

If its happening in wow try turning on triple buffering so the screen can match your monitors refresh rate.

I notice this happening when I am messing around with internet explorer or on the desktop. I am using a old vga connection to the video card. My video card does have the new output also(dvmi or something like that)

As far as happening in wow it is hard to tell b/c so much is going on usually.

And I should say it isn't like a flicker on/off is happening it looks like the colors are skewing for a short amount of time then going back.

    try:
    dust out your case.
replace the analog cable for a digital cable (can always return if it doesnt work)

Dusted out my case. Managed to unplug a sATA cord and couldn't figure out why my keyclone wasn't launching the wow off the D: drive. Finally figured out it couldn't see the drive. Also upgraded to a dvi cable. So far the screen is brighter and ever thing is looking good. Is it actually fixed or do I just think it is fixed b/c of the new cable? Only time will tell.
