    Default Sequence macro not working

im tanking with a palidan atm and he;s got crappy gear so i have this macro for one of my shamans, teh idea is to have him assist me (im his /focus) cast lighting bolt then cast a heal on me and repeat. when i try the following macro e just spam heals on himself, what am i doing wrong

    /castsequence [target=focustarget] lightning bolt, [target=focus] healing wave

i dont need a reset. i just need him to cast a lighting bolt then heal me and repeat.

    Thanks in advance

I'm not sure it's even possible to switch targets mid cast sequence the way that you're doing.

    How about something like this:

    /target focus
    /assist
    /castsequence lightning bolt, healing wave

By using assist, friendly spells should go to the focus and dps spells should go to the focus's target. I'm at work so I can't test this out, but I hope it helps.

I don't believe you can change target in a cast sequence. Probably seemed like automation to Blizz so was taken out.
Your best bet is to use either two macros or a modifier.

    /cast [target=focustarget, nomod] Lightning Bolt
    /cast [target=focus, mod:alt] Lesser Healing Wave

nah all that will do is assist the focus cast a lightning bolt and the shaman will heal himself... i guess the only way is for a modifier, thanks anyways guys!

Np, I was trying it out this morning on my rogue/priest, but priest just stood there spamming renew.
So I'd assume you cant have multiple targets in a castsequence

    alas!
