    Default Keyclone Maximizer

Hey, I started trying out dual-boxing yesterday and so far it has been pretty fun. I got my own duo going and it seems like working like a charm.
Afterwards a friend wanted to try out the same. For some reason when he opened the "bat file" (I'm not using keyclone's maximizer on mine, so we just tried the same out on his) nothing happened. I think we did the same on his like I had on mine, but somehow it just didn't work. I looked around for another option and guessed we should try keyclone out and we tried setting it up, but it ended up as the pics shows (it's supposed to be cut in the middle of the screen, so "char2" is on the left side and "char1" on the right): http://img187.imageshack.us/my.php?image=weirdat1.jpg http://img379.imageshack.us/my.php?image=weird2db0.jpg http://img187.imageshack.us/my.php?i...startupxa6.jpg

For some reason it just doesn't want to fit the screens right next to eachother.
What is it I/we have done wrong? I have looked through a good load of threads already and it just doesn't seem to work...

    Regards,
    LeCattez

Howdy LeCattez and welcome to the forums!

those are some weird screens. please make sure to run at least v1.8k

also, please check out the layouts available on the main site: http://solidice.com/keyclone/layouts/index.html

a common 2 wow setup would be a simple PiP like look:

many people also do the horizontal split, but they rotate their wide screens to get more room:

Ah, the first one sure looks interesting. I took a look at the site, but our screens are 22'' widescreen and there are no "help" for that size of screen with two accounts. Any way I can do it anyway?

We do have the 1.8k version, so that's not a problem.

Thanks for the answer, will take a look at it and if I can't make it work, I hope for an answer!

    Thanks

Ok, I have found out how to make the above, but when I move my mouse from one of the windows to the other it lags for a sec. Any way to remove that lag? Or does it have to lag for that sec when you move the cursor around?

Hmm, again we did the same on his pc and it did something like the pictures above. I saved my maximizing and imported it on his and made the same things in the setup as on mine. He runs xp and I run vista, which could be the difference, but I don't really know, since I'm new to this. Any ideas how to make this work?

i'm not quite sure what 'works' means... but the delay is linked to the 'focus follow mouse' option under keyclone/setup/general. just UNCHECK it to remove the delay (but your wow windows will require a click to active then another click to do anything)

as for the layout... what resolution are your screens running at? you looking for a 2 region layout with a small PiP like look?

When something is working right, works the same on both machines, when it's the same things being done to both. Maybe you had an idea about what made it difference on the other machine, could have been asked before and I hadn't noticed it. And so on

Ah ok, I think I'll survive with it like that then. Just thought it was my computer bugging up or something.

I figured out how to set it up. Just downloaded the 1600*1200 2 region layout and changed the 1600 to 1680 and 1200 to 1050 and just used the second region as it was. It seem to work just fine on my computer, but on my friend's (which is the problem), it still doesn't work. We tried deleting the keyclone.ini file and start from a fresh, but that didn't make anything difference. We tried to remove all the interface and that didn't help either.
I have no idea why it doesn't work out like on my computer, guess he could use a format c: or something... =/

how is it not working on his computer? is it not activated? does it not run the wows? are the wows popping up but not being placed in the maximizer regions?

please try to be a bit more descriptive of the problem.

    talk to you soon,

    Rob

It's activated, it runs both the wow's and it doesn't pop up in the maximizer regions. Exactly like earlier =/. Eventhough we deleted the keyclone.ini file and imported mine + settings, exactly the same, it just popped up like on the third picture I posted earlier.

    I have no idea why

it could be the region names you specified in the commands are not EXACTLY the same as the ones in the maximizer layout

can you send me a PM and include your keyclone.ini file? (change the usernames please)

I'll try get it from him, he's not here anymore so it'll take a bit longer. Will just update this when I got it. I'm just pretty sure that the region names was the exact same, but you never know, people make mistakes heh.
