Yes, this is yet another way you can be banned if you change play times consistently, have your IP address from an asian country, etc. There are a lot of ways to be banned or get a warning for. But having different names on your different accounts is not one of them. As stated, that in itself is not a reason for a ban or a warning. There are always other factors that cause your account to be banned or get a warning for. You are confirming what was stated originally thank you.

Maybe I'm misinformed but I was under the belief that all accounts must be in the owners name. Many TOS quotes and examples of people being banned even using a wife's acct.

This section in the Terms of Service:

"BLIZZARD MAY SUSPEND, TERMINATE, MODIFY, OR DELETE THE ACCOUNT AT ANY TIME WITH ANY REASON OR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE. For purposes of explanation and not limitation, Blizzard may institute any or all of the following disciplinary measures if it believes in its sole discretion that a player has violated the Terms of Use or the EULA: (a) temporary account suspension; (b) permanent account termination; or (c) account or character modification, including without limitation reducing or removing experience points, skills, levels, in-game currency or items. "


basically says they can ban you for anything they want to ban you for. They are usually very careful about banning an account because it terminates their income. If they aren't getting any income from an account, it will probably be banned as it appears what happened in this message thread.

This is the section in the Terms of Service that relates to the account information provided by the subscriber when the account is established:

"You may establish one (1) user account (the "Account") on the Service for each Authentication Key you receive from Blizzard. To establish an Account, you will be required to provide Blizzard with certain personal information and the Authentication Key provided to you by Blizzard. So you're really supposed to be provide accurate information. But Blizzard will not ban an account that is in good standing (Blizzard getting income from) that is not breaking any rules if you're just boxing with accounts that have different names on them. I've been boxxing for about 2 years with accounts I created that have different names and never received any warning. Prior to creating the 32 new shaman I'm working on now, I had one of each class (9 accounts) that I boxxed with and many times I was threatened with reports, etc but never once received anything from a GM.

Prepared we have all been following your progress and I for one hope your accounts are not in multiple different names. If they are it is only a matter of time before all of them are banned. Sorry but it happens every day and like you said you are quite obvious.
