IMO, you have to develop thicker skin sooner or later in life...might as well start now. Seriously, anyone that's successful gets verbally abused like this because far too many people are either jealous, protective of their perceived "elite" status or just plain ne'er-do-wells that everyone should ignore on general principle. Just accept that there are people that you will NEVER get along with no matter how much you'd like to or how friendly you are to them.
