It wouldn't be so bad if the racials affected one player or affected the whole group but then the group became immune to all racial cc's for a certain time. Either way like that would still give the team a chance at recovery. Just wish Gift of the Naaru would kick in by itself then if needed lol.
    So...

Chain warstomps and silence are not fair.....

but 4x instant cast - instant crit - chain lightings that instantly one-shot a player are?
It's a bit different...I'm not complaining about class abilities I'm complaining about the mostly broken arena system and the imbalance of Horde and Alliance racials.

Broken? Going up against Brutal geared players in the lower 1400 bracket (on my priest and 5th shammy), that's just total bullshit.

Whole group being silenced because of racials from start to finish is bullshit.

If it were class spells then that's one thing, I don't see one druid cycloning a whole group (yet), lol, or one mage sheeping all five at once. That's pretty much what chained warstomp and chained arcane torrents do which is quite different than killing 1-1/2 of the opposing team from a class spell.

I can see the other side that multiboxing and being clumped up is allowing the racials to be used against me in the this way. If what you said in the other thread is true about pvp gear not working at all in instances then I'm happy because I will hardly play arena again.

Sheep and Blind can be dispelled/cured. Cyclone can be trinketed. The reason the warrior is CCed is the same reason almost every top arena team has a MS warrior, if you don't CC the MS machine of death and destruction then it will come over and slap you around...hard.

Let's see, plate wearing 14K+ unbuffed hp with the ability to close distances fast with a healing debuff and DoTs that cannot be removed, a snare that can only be removed by abilities that specifically target snare removal, ie not dispel, cleanse, purge, remove curse. An AoE fear. Rogue-like melee dps with multiple target abilities. Yet you feel the need to complain about being sheeped and cycloned. You can probably macro a MS Warrior with 3 or 4 buttons and be pretty effective. Pardon me for not quite feeling sorry for the poor MS Warriors.
Oh I know, see we do that to the other teams too for the exact same reason. MS warriors are the merchant of death, but play one in high level arena sometime. Never before or again will you come close to the amount of constant frustration of inability to control your character, followed intermittently by moments of bloodcrazed orgasmic destruction.

Here's the deal on nerfs. If you read every class forum in WoW all the time you would constantly be re rolling because you became convinced the class you were playing suddenly sucked. Nerfs are over rated, just play and pwn. Youre the same player, learn and adapt.

    Dont worry about nerfs.

I started with a warlock. I got to 60 just after they brought out the felguard, and I just missed out on the insane damage short cast imp fireball and the monester damage of the felguard. They were nerfed.

It seemed that with every patch there were nerfs to warlocks, (who everyone called overpowered) yet hunters and rogues were constantly being buffed.

I read the forums, I listened to the whiners, how it would break our class. And after every patch i noticed little or no difference.

Still, the constant round of nerfs, whilst buffing other classes got to me, so I rolled another class as a solution, I chose the hunter and loved it. Yet strangely this character that I constantly saw buffed in patch after patch was still killable. In fact it was almost as if, for every class blizzard had designed a counter class. Then I played a shaman and loved it.

What I learnt. Things change. Don't listen to whiners. Roll some other classes as well - then you get hit with the nerf bat and the buff stick and it softens the blow.

It's not going to be that bad.

Don't get all hyped up about people calling nerf, just keep a positive outlook and be prepared to adapt to the change. I'm talking about PvE btw - I stopped doing PvP after I moved servers. Anyway, if you're prepared to adapt, you'll be fine. I tried, as a test, to do a few dungeon runs without ToW (used searing instead) and with only one tremor and tbh it was pretty much the same except for the risk of a few seconds extra fear (keep in mind that that wasn't heroics, which would be a different ballgame but we know so little about WotLK instances so far that it's impossible to say anything about those atm). Yes, some of the changes suck, but most you won't even notice and some are actually buffs.

I'm running a pala + shaman team with a warlock and/or druid ready to swap in when CoE includes nature damage (assuming patch 3.0) - the only thing im really annoyed about is having to regear my paladin when they change strength to be useful and that's quick to recover form.

It's like reading the official forums, if you were to believe everyone whining and QQ'ing about nerfs to own class and buffs to other classes, the game would be broken. It's in Blizzards interest to make the game enjoyable for everyone - we pay them to do so.

Worst case scenario is that you have to swap a character or two in your team and with the gear reset at WotLK launch, that's a small effort. Think RAF + 60-70 exp buff in 3.0 - we're talking like 3-4 days played = 2 new level 70 chars.
