Dual-box'ed Druids Suggestions

I've recently started multi-boxing, well dual-boxing, on World of Warcraft. I've read up on various sources on multi-boxing, on things such as movement, macros, and addons, so it's not one of those threads.

So, anyways, I've done quote well on leveling my Druids, they're both currently level 18. At the moment I've decided to spec both of them into Feral, and although it's slightly tedious getting both of them to face a mob in melee range, I've gotten better at it, which is probably due to only having to control two characters. I've been wondering, though, before I get them to much higher levels, is dual-boxing two feral Druids really more effective than any other spec? Considering they kill mobs twice as fast, Balance doesn't seem like that bad of a choice, as there will be less mana required to take down mobs. Though, I was also thinking whether or not it was possible to spec them both into different trees, say feral and resto, or balance and resto. So, does anyone have any advice on how I should go about leveling my Druids? Oh, and if anyone has some tips on useful Macros or Addons for dual-boxing Druids, that would be helpful as well.

I guess I should have started with something mroe conventional, perhaps two Shamans. I thought two Druids would be interesting, however...

Screw conventional umm as far as I can see feral is prolly your best option. Boomkin would make leveling a lot easier as generally boxing is easier with casters but you won't have access to that for a while. Go feral > boomkin when you have access then resto at 70 imo lol resto druids are op anyways GL in your adventures

i personaly would go balance from the start. Casters are much easier to place, pull, or run away with :-)
it probably doesnt make a big difference in the lower levels in any case.

Seems the druid / shaman synergy should be quite nice in Wotlk

If you're doing RAF triple xp and only two of 'em, definitely stay feral until 40 or 50ish. I kept my shammies melee spec until 53ish and was not disappointed. My current 5x boomkin group is MOONFARE SPAM spec but I have two 70 felguards doing the dirty work for 'em. :P Otherwise, I couldn't afford gear and talents with the triple xp.

i took the hard route and went balance right off the bat. Feral is much easier till ya hit 40 then swap to balanced getting moonkin form. That way you got alot more armor. Also when ya hit 40 make sure you upgrade your gear with some cheap greens that made a world of difference since i basically had a few deadmines items till then. but if ya got good at postioning them then i woulddn't worry about it too much.

People generally prefer to use ranged casters since the positioning is easier than multiple melee.

2 ferals will never ever need to sit down and drink, only the occasional heal. People doing multiple melee generally run their main toon through the mob so the followers get into melee range and get back shots. With alternating shreds you'll get some aggro pingpong and very fast deadness.

Boomkins destroy things but they drink a lot (like some members of my family). Once you can get them into boomkin you'll want to use a friendly mage (yours or someone else's) to load you to the gills with water before you head out.

You won't likely need resto tree until you're in the 60s and that's more to get experience with resto spec more than anything else, because tree healing is different from other healing.

You also could only swap one of them to boomkin at first and see how you like the synergy. It could be great or it could be annoying with the chicken constantly pulling aggro.

Why not just run one of them as a "main" feral, and the other as "support" resto or balance? That way one is focused on melee and the other is just used in background as caster/healer/whatever? Not much different than running as a warrior / priest dualbox, and since both are druids, setting up the keybars is even easier.
