Default I'm new and need all the help I can get!

Hey All!

I have just decided to two box. Currently, I'm running two copies of WoW on one computer. Thanks to the refer a friend exp bonus and grant a lvl, I'm already up to 30 on both my toons.

Currently, I am running a lock and a mage together. My lock is the main controller with the mage there as support. So far things are going well, but I could be going much faster if I had some working macros and mods. I'm very very new to macros and I've been reading guides and it seems very confusing still. I'm trying to get some good DOT macros for the lock as well as some casting sets that I could fire off on the mage with just one button push per toon.

I've been looking at keyclone right now and I'm not sure how to set it up exactly. Should I just stick with macros or are mods and programs easier?

The biggest thing I am running into is being able to cast multiple spells on my mage with one click. It usually says spell is not ready. I would like to cast Frostbolt, then fireball, then go to my wand.

This site looks very promising and any help I can get would be amazing!

Pleast let me know what I can do and if there are any sites, macros, mods, or programs out there that could really help me out!

Thanks!!!

for multiple spells on the one button you're after a /castsequence macro.
EG:
/castsequence reset=5/target/combat Frostbolt, firebolt, shoot

technically you press that, it casts frostbolt. Press it again, firebolt. Press it again it starts wanding.
I haven't made a spell caster one in a while so I'm not 100% sure.

You'd do the same for warlock.
/castsequence reset=5/target/combat Curse of Agony, Corruption, Life Tap, Drain Life

Something like that.
Jamien - 70 Rogue
Aphrim - 70 Priest
Zapcowone-four - 70 Shaman
Niian - 65 Paladin

Note that WoW won't let you cast multiple spells on one character with one click/keypress - that's automation which is against the ToS.

The best you can do, as per the macros in the post above, is have multiple spells bound to one key/icon, but you'd have to press that multiple times, each press activating the next spell in the sequence.

awesome help guys. would you guys suggest using Keyclone? I'd say it would be worth the $10 if it really works and is easy to use.

Just what I wanted to hear! I'm probably going to buy it in the next few min. I can use that program when doing two different classes correct? Just move my spells around so both are being activated by the same buttons correct? And one more thing, Keyclone can be run on the same computer with no problems? Sorry for all the questions, when it comes to this add-ons stuff, I'm very green.

keyclone is not really an addon. just a program that sends keypresses to two windows at once. but with much more "stuff" included.

how do you get keyclone it for $10. i paid $19.95 for my license.

also yes, the premise is correct. if you put a spell, say Curse of Agony on hotkey 1 on your warlock, and Frostbolt on hotkey 1 on your mage, pressing 1 with keyclone will cause both characters to press 1, doing both spells at once. its up to you how to set up your combinations from this point on. the macros above are quite useful. you might also want to play around with spell combinations to see what's more effective. sometimes hitting the mob with all four of your DOTS will turn into a waste. also, yes, keyclone will run on one computer and handle two or more windows with no problems. the limiting factors will be your hardware.
