    Default COMPLETE NOOB

I stumbled on all of this in the past few days. But I am having problems understanding how to set up my keyclone.

I have spent untold hours trying to get my Synergy to work. Nada. It seems I have to do some altering to the source code to get it to work thru my Vista Extreme.

I am not here to learn how to use SYNERGY.....KEYCLONE is what I need to understand how to setup. I want to run two programs atm...but would move on to more once I get the two down pat.

So I just need a few pointers from someone who has the knowledge.

are both chars jumping when you press space?

    if not, keyclone doesn't work.

if yes, set up a follow and assist macro on your alt, set an attack spell on both chars (on the same key), invite your alt to a group, let him follow your main, target a mob with your main, press the assist button and hit the button for the attack spell.

please...i want you to know that i really appreciate the post to help me out BUT....

could you give a step by step on how to setup kmap....please ASSUME i do not know anything (which I dont)...

everybody is talking as IF the other persons know what to do...i/we do not know...i may stumble into how to do this on my own but I am asking that somebody lead me by the hand...and stop assuming that i know which box to put things in...

I want to know how to setup my keyclone for macros...NOTHING ELSE. i got all the IP addresses and the multiple PCs down...i just cant get how to make the clones do things...

probably reading too much in this BUT will experiment further on the JUMPING thing mentioned.

    OMG!

well I had to ADD JUMP to the keymap feature and FINALLY got both characters to JUMP which means at least my PC is not preventing the program from working.

I guess because nobody is reading this forum I will eventually solve how to use KC.

As I see it now...I may have to MAP each KEY from my PC to this KC program such as you do in WOW key bindings. Was hoping not to have to go thru this learning process but oh well, I guess.

you do not have to use keymaps... they are more optional.

try getting the basics first, then move on to the more advanced stuff.

firstly, i'll assume you are using wow unless you mention otherwise.

follow these steps (which are in the tutorial on solidice.com/keyclone)

    run wow 1
    log in
    select character you want

    run wow 2
    log in
    select character you want

    run keyclone
by default, keyclone has auto-add enabled and 'World of Warcraft' as the exact match title.
as such, you should see 2 wow entries.

if not, click the add button and then click the center of wow 1
    repeat for wow 2

now you should have both wows in the keyclone list.

click on wow 1. hit space bar... both characters should jump.

you are now multiboxing. every key you hit will be passed to the clones.

    i hope that helps.

    As keyclone posted

    1/ start keyclone
2/ start first copy of WoW
3/ start second copy of WoW
4/ check keyclone window -> should have 2 entries for WoW
5/ press jump key (default: spacebar)

All key pressed in the first WoW window will be passed to the second WoW window.

After that its all about macro's

New Alliance Twins coming soon to Proudmore

I don't know what you've done but usually you start both WoW instances, create chars, log on with both chars, start keyclone, press space and both chars jump.

so it's on your setup that it doesn't work

I haven't asked this simple "press space - are both chars jumping?" to annoy you, it was just to see if keyclone works properly and if you need to add the jump to the keymap feature first then it doesn't work properly =)
