sleeping accounts to wolk?

well i "canceled" my 4 other accounts to wolk. It was fun i got to 67 but i cant really be bothered playing wow when I know in 2 months that there will be a FULL item reset. Lets face it I started boxing way way too late and to be honest I whats the point in grinding gold for epic flyers when at 80 i can do the same thing but make gold even faster? That being said ill stick to my single shammy main and only do light raiding instead till release or maybe even take up warhammer for a month or 2.

Not really no i only have 1k gold right now but really whats the point i will grind out 1 more level to 68 and head to northrend (maybe stay till 70) When you get to northrend you will not be able to use your epic flyers till 77 so I dont see a real reason to grind out your gold right now. By the time you hit 77 or higher you should be making almost x3 the gold you would in TBC (chocolate wow), WOLK is (strawberry wow)

SO the question is like many that are in my position why would i consider keep griding..

1) gears
2) gold

ALL my gear will be replaced at 68 when i hit northrend and gold will be FAR easier to acquire in wolk then in TBC

The reason to grind gold for your epic flyers is because any mounts that are released in wotlk will follow on from the epic flying skill and therefor you wil need them to progress...

Sure your green gear/blue gear will be replaced but the S2/23 pvp sets will last for long into WOTLK and personally i feel the same way but getting atleast the pvp armor and the shield/main hand will make the instancing in wotlk ALOT easier. Im pretty much forced into dungeons anyway thanks to the high pop and my server beeing pvp trying to quest the first days within wotlk is hopeless.

Personally im leveling my professions and have maths ready for inscribtion aswell as trying to get my epic flying mount. Why would i want to waste time on this in wotlk even if it saves me some time then...

The costs of leveling proffesion will get ALOT higher when decent info on what items that will come for each proffesion is out.. Im hoping for rare herbs/veins in instances wich would be very good money since i can mine/herb everything myself!

It's not the item reset I am concerned with, that is part of the game if you've played MMOs for any length of time.

I'm more concerned with all of the coming class changes, including the new talent set ups. I play a shaman as my main and will need to figure out his best talent specs for playing with my friends in groups and raids. My multibox teams are PvE-only setups. One group is a paladin, priest, mage, warlock, and hunter. Another group is paladin, priest, hunter, hunter, mage. I will need to review and figure out talent specs for five different classes, including how best to balance talent specs for the hunters to get the most benefit from having two of them in the same group. That may take some time.

I haven't been playing much at all lately. I've been playing other games and doing other stuff while I wait on WotLK, and many of my guildies are trying out Warhammer to fill the time until WotLK. Once patch 3.x goes live I may spend some time getting my UI mods straightened out and trying out the new talent specs and such.

I said the same thing pre-TBC and have kicked myself ever since. I stored about 4k gold prior to launch, and got my first epic flyer, it was great, but it still took months to get my other toons up to speed.

Moral of the story: Don't put of until tomorrow, what you can accomplish today.

You're equating the point of the game to the gear level. By this logic, you should just wait 2 more years for another expansion before you play again. Or 4 more years for 2 more expansions. Then level to 100 and just burn through content. If you haven't boxed BC instances, it's possibly worth it just for the experience of doing so. Try to clear them all out and learn more about your team dynamic.

My guess is that the arena gear will be cheap just like the original honor gear was cheap right before TBC hit, I think they will remove most or all of the rating requirements with 3.0.

I don't think they are going to touch it at all. Cause they are not getting rid of lvl 70 arena for the people that don't want to get the expansion, but the que times will be really long cause not that many people will be in that lvl range. You can continue to earn points but as soon as you hit 71 you lose all your arena points. So there is no use keeping 5000 and cashing them in at lvl 80 to get the new stuff.
