    Default 5 Boxing in China...

    Hey all,

I've been 5 boxing a group now for a couple of months over here in China. Let me first say, I'm not chinese, I am English. I moved here for work and was starved of WoW. After some investigation i discovered a surprisingly large english-speaking community of WoW players who play on Chinese servers using EnGB or USGB clients. So.. after some downloading, fiddling with fonts i started.

After levellling a rogue to 70.. i got a little bored.. a friend suggested i look this web site as he knew i used to multi-box EQ a long time back. I'm now a successful WoW multi-boxer. The reaction over here to me is.. well.. amazment! I think multi-boxing is fairly rare as in general the average chinese player probably has less disposable income to spend on multiple accounts.

I hit 63 and Terrokar last night. Its a busy server (Translated as Bronzebeard) on the Shanghai area.

I havn't heard of any English speaking multi-boxers out here, i'd be interested to know of any.

Anyway, my group at the moment..

    Lyche - 64 Paladin (Prot)
    MoonLyche - 63 Druid (Resto)
    MooLyche - 63 Shaman(Ele)
    IceLyche - 63 Mage (Ice)
    FireLyche - 63 Mage (Fire)

Cleared Blood Furance but STILL havnt managed to clear Nazan in Ramparts. I can kill the guy.. but Nazan charges and I cant intercept him before he makes beefsteak out of my druid.

Thanks again to this webby, the advice and help i've found here have been invaluable. Keep it up guys 8) 8)

Ditto for me. 61 cleared BF (WOO) Nazan is still on my hit list. I managed to kill him once, but half my group was down.

So I ressed and grabbed the quest item and gave up after a few more tries.

    I think there's an english-speaking 10-boxer in china.

There definitely is I read his raid write up on this forum. He is originally from USA I think. Lives in China and as I remember had a really hard time finding an original copy of wow in China. Sellers were looking at him funny because he wanted an original none rip off version of WoW.

I did the last boss in ramps with a similar mixed group at 62-63. Hardest fight in all outlands so far for me, I'm on the last boss in Slave Pens now.

I finally found a strat of using a backup healer for the early fight, also helped that I had an off tank felguard. This way he aggros your back up healer instead of your main healer when he lands. Also use pots for early fight healing as much as possible so as not to build aggro.

Not much to it once you get aggro settled as long as you have a good spread and can spin the dragon away from squishys. Blood furnace was a breeze in comparison, full clear first run through having never even been there with another character before.

Next hardest fight is the second boss in slave pens first time I ever had to stop and retune my group for mana efficiency, finally binding stuff like innervate, ect... Could tank him fine, just always ran out of healing mana with that friggin bleed goin pop for 800-900 a tick. Finally made a new macro to heal constantly with downranked spells to not run dry but keep the bleed off.

I was surprised by how many people in China, Hong Kong at least, spoke English. Almost everyone spoke well enough to do business with. This is a stark contrast to some of the other places I've been like Korea, Japan and even Macau.

Well Hong Kong was British for how many years? But yes, much easier to get along there then the other places. I found in Japan most people could read English better then they spoke or understood it. I was in korea for a year and one you got a mile from the US military institutions nobody spoke or understood english.

The other english speaking guy that boxes in china in Nixi on these forums. He has a video of 10 boxing kara and has a couple of good write ups on his experiences.

Wait... that's the same in every country.

You can't ask for directions in english,
but as soon as it's about earning money they know damn well how to speak it
