Taxi Service

I've been toying around with the idea of running a taxi service on my server - I'm currently levelling up a bunch of warlocks with RAF and was figuring on leaving them in certain places later on in order to act as a taxi service.

i.e. Use the warlocks to summon people to various places - because I've got multiple accounts I can place low level 'helpers' near the warlocks so there's no need to find someone to help out with Ritual of Summoning

What sort of a charge should I ask for and where would the best places be? I figure major faction cities, Gadgetzan, Booty Bay, Winterspring, and Shattrath - anyone have any suggestions?

Since Shattrath "downtown" will already cover the major faction cities, I'd offer taxi service to:

a) places that are a pain to get to, and/or
b) places most people need to go while levelling up.

What comes to my mind is:
- Kargath (dunno for alliance, but for horde it's a marathon. Quite a few folks do quests in BRD still)
- [s]Stonard or[/s] BC portal, respectively. [Edit: Thanks for the hint. Happens when you never play a mage...]
- Winterspring? (far, but not enough demand I suppose)
- Gadgetzan (*thumbs up*)

well the trip to Sm is a pain for alliance so i would put some locks there

I'd agree that a mage portal to Shatt takes care of most day to day needs, and it is the far off places that are a pain.

Think in terms of travel time; where do people go before 30 (without a mount), where do people go mounted (that still takes forever) Kargath and Silithus are top in my mind even with mounts. Gadgetzan was the worste walk, but might not be needed before 30 anymore...

For horde, badlands is the link between north fp and south fp. It's a terrible run even with a mount. Especially if you're like me and do most of your leveling on western continent. Without badlands there's no way to connect UC fp and STV fp. Pretty much everyone has to go there eventually.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I hadn't though of Kargath (my warlocks are Horde) even though I've had to drag all my characters there at some point, Stonard is a good idea too - although I could just sit right outside the dark portal.

Do you think Light's Hope Chapel would be useful as well? You need to get the FP there to connect the Undercity and Silvermoon flight paths.

I was thinking that Shattrath would be good because people want to GET there before lvl 60-62.

I did something similar. I used to summon entire raids (40 man) for Ony, etc.

How do you get shards and prevent gankage?
