    Luck I guess :P

Well, 90% of the time I play defence. I dont care if the matches become a bit longer, I have about 1950 honor/hour in AV anyway. (not that I need honor anymore)

But the factors that count mostly:

    - I allways watch timers closely. I know wich nodes i have time to recap and wich I do not.
    - I allways watch the map, trying to do whatever others dont.
    - Trying to direct my team mates to do something usefull. This does not allways work, but it helps to atleast try (tactics macros etc)
    - I have all guardians and 4/5 brutal (helps a bit :P )

a boxer can really make the difference, but unlike cepheus, i hate to play defensive when the other 35 are already there.
i just go with the flow!

Best I managed to do was 4 AV wins in a row. My tactic is to always rush the aid station/north bunker and then as raid leader start trying to direct people. After the 3rd win I become a mini-celebrty since natually as a boxer i was also raid leader and am pretty vocal with direction so they attributed the wins to me (it wasnt me, it was just smarter then usual AV crowd). However at the 4th game I started getting tells like "OMG YES THUG WERE GONNA WIN" and "YES WE CANT LOOSE WE GOT THUG" and started to feel the pressure considering nothing is more powerfull then an AV full of complete nublets bent on losing the game heh. So I bowed out while I was ahead. That 4th game was barely a win.

My gear at the moment is only 4 merciless + quest blues/greens which is a limiter to my success other then defense of a tower not being zerged. I can only imagine the power a group of shammies in full pvp armor can bring to the table.

I pulled off an entire AV weekend without a loss back in the 60 bracket, really earned an untouchable-like status in my battlegroup there, and got the same "It's the Tehts, we win!"

I disagree that it's luck though, you seem to have the same work ethic I do. A multiboxer who has his junk together, and knows AV enough to recognize where his presence will have the most impact, can be completely game-changing. If you're at IB Tower, and Tower Point has a minute and a half till cap, you can make it there just in time to defend it. If it has 60 seconds, you're going to have trouble getting up there and saving it in time: find a better place to put your efforts. It's all strategy, and the general problem in AV is that everyone has their own personal strategy.

I've been running AV during my spare time while waiting for whatever the daily BG is and I'm pretty sure that I have yet to see an AV win in 20+ tries. I don't know why, but the Horde on my Battlegroup can't seem to get it together.
Note: This is single boxing, not my whole team.

You got it nailed on the head there. This is exactly the thing that is really important to know, and is mostly gained by expirience in the BG's. Timing and knowing what you most probably are able to do within the given timeframe is crucial to ensure the win.

In my battlegroup horde wins 95% of all AV's anyhow so might be possible for me.

Funny fact tho, alliance dominates in EotS but I only ever lost 3 times there. xD (Due to facing a premade and everyone afk'ing at start, ending up like 8-10 vs 15. :P)

I've only done like 30 AV's total so far tho, lost 2 I think. =(

Is there an achievement for it? If so, mine should be coming up soon. Our faction (Horde) wins 99.999999% of all AV's. (I've only lost one AV since being on this battlegroup)
