What we're saying here is... no, you don't own both.

But most definitely go ask Blizzard. That's always the best recourse when dealing with ambiguity about the rules.

The ToU speaks extensively about what you may and may not do with a World of Warcraft account. This section highlights a few passages from the ToU that are most relevant to this policy. The core message is that you, and only you (with the exception of a minor authorized to use an account by a parent or guardian), should be accessing an account registered in your name.

Well thanks. I get easily hurt and offended when accused of lying or someone insults my (lack of) common sense. Truth is, I had a lot of pain meds in me yesterday along with major fibrofog. I read a darn lot to the point that I was really getting ready to throw the monitor out the window....That aside...

It certainly looks fun and challenging. I've done a ton of reading on it and I'm sure I can do it and it would help with instances--not having to search all day for a healer. In game, I'm not quite this slow. It's trying to sort through what I read that gets me. It wasn't that I couldn't find multiplexer links or sites. It was that I couldn't find a good one that wouldn't break me since I'm going to have to pay for at least 1 more account (hopefully 2) along with it. The only free one I found was through curse.com and my comp's been having issues with their site.

The issue with not being able to help my husband level, I never realized it was account sharing. That obviously, I won't even attempt now that I understand it is. But I would love to get up to 3 boxing on my own just because I want 2 healers guaranteed for every instance/raid.

Many apologies if I helped make you feel that way.

If anything, our intentions are good -- we want to make sure you have a happy, safe multiboxing experience and we don't want anything to do with account closures. So if I wave the rules around like crazy maniacs, we really are trying to look out for your best interests.

Bansticks are very unhappy experiences -- some of our own members have gotten accidentally bansticked by GMs before due to account inconsistencies -- but luckily they were able to sort things out. So we're awful careful about account-related stuff.

Listen to Vyn sometimes she will slap you around on here but she means well. I have had nothing but good experience out of the info that she post and she has slapped me around some on some of my post but was my own fault

As stated you don't want to get banned or get your husbands account banned its bad juju! Now maybe you can call blizz or email them and see how viable it is to get your husbands account switched to you, just argue that you dont want it to be closed so you want to pay for it, then you might be ok.

nah, wasn't you or even that subject. i'm very very glad you took the time to let me know so i didn't get banned. that would've hard core sucked. nah what i meant was i read so freakin much yesterday i really was frustrated and just didn't see the freakin links i needed. even now i'm having a hard time with the links provided. some either don't work or they don't go anywhere useful. the only links i found were ones that either cost too much for me or i've already read how hard they were to figure out. i did hear about octopus being good but that is a multimachine isnt it? for some of us, we can do all the reading there is and still have no bloody clue what we're lookin at. i'm a hands on chick. if it's not poetry or a novel, words make me dizzy. 8|

Octopus I believe is both. It can be used for either purpose, or for both purposes at the same time.

Basically, what I'd do is this -- decide what you need from a multiplexer and start doing the whole "process of elimination" thing... (I'm assuming you're using the software page, with the little chart at the bottom)

Do you need it just for one machine? Totally ignore the Multi-machine column. Remember: Just because something can be used for multiple machines, doesn't mean it CAN'T be used for a single machine -- it could be useful for either way.
Do you need something free? Totally ignore any row that involves a pricetag above $0.
Don't want to have to write your own scripts? Ignore everything that doesn't have a GUI.
Your computer is Windows? Cross out anything that says "mac".

Now look at what's left. Try out a few, and if you get confused let us know the exact step that you're confused about or start a new post that's more specific... For example: "<PRODUCT>: <FEATURE> isn't working after <THESE STEPS>" is a good forum topic that will get peoples' attentions.

Also, once you've decided what you want to install, the guides section is a really good place to get a how-to on certain products -- some of them have their own step-by-step guides.
