    Default vetra.com down

Hi all, this is Rich from Vetra Systems. Finally got around to registering so I can do some posting. Not sure why the site was down except we are making a lot of changes, so you might have just caught it during an upload refresh. We will be adding a new section to the site for on-line gaming products, this way you won't have to hunt and peck for what you are looking for. I will say that in the next two weeks we will be releasing several new products and upgrades that you should find usefull. We have added multicasting capability to our 8 port KVM switch with some creative twists you will probably find useful. These will have new model numbers and the product will be known as the SwitchCaster. The webpages are under construction now. If anybody is interested, I would be happy to post the spec on the feature set. We will also be releasing a 5 PC and 10 PC USB Multicaster in the next couple of weeks, with the 5 port to come first. It will have improvements not included in the current 4 PC version (USB-844-BC). I will be making daily visits here from now on, so any feedback on products and features that you would like to see, I'm all ears.

Glad to see Vetra pay attention to the gamers out there :) Not the most obvious fit for your products but still - glad to see you responding to what has become hopefully a growing element of your income. Eager to see what updates you have in store although aside from the USB multicaster, I have pretty much all of you products and then some. I still recommend them highly.

Figure out a way to RELIABLY multicast a mouse cursor without the wireless desync issues and I would buy that. Putting the receiver closer together helps but doesn't make it perfect. USB multicaster to the rescue?

The current 4 port USB multicaster does work very well for keeping a mouse in sync. Having a wider version would have been nice. The only small caveat of it is that it seems to "packetize" the mouse input. The USB mouse connected directly is perfectly smooth. The USB multicast mouse replicates the movement in bursts that feels slightly jerky.

As for the switch caster that is a fabulous idea. Something that has two inputs one "keyboard" to switch and another "keyboard" to multicast. As long as they both work at the same time that would be killer piece of hardware. If it switched/multicasted both keyboard and ps2 mice that would be even better (4 inputs keyboard and mouse to switch and keybard and mouse to multicast).

Despite having separate boxes to do that already I would buy it for the cable/clutter reduction alone (it would have to be 5 outputs minimum to be useful with more being better)

PS: Another note. How about a secure web store at vetra.com
