Thread: Monitor stands

    Default Monitor stands

I was wondering if monitor stands such as the ergo are industry standard. Meaning I can use any type of similar size on a monitor stands. I guess I am asking if every monitor has the 4 mount screws in the same place.

You guys have been so hopeful so far. I got 2 boxing to work going for 3 :P

Going from previously owned monitor stands, 75mm x 75mm and 100mm x 100mm(sorry metric system) are the standard dimensions for the mounting holes. Some stands come with both hole dimensions on them.

My ergotrons came with a the "standard" and a second plate for a smaller width that you can attach to the standard size if your monitor is weird.

Well I got the monitors but now the stand sticks out a bit as far as mounting on an ergo stand I would have to open the back of the moniter to remove the plastic piece that stick out a bit when the stand isn't attached. I have 3 monitors 17 then a 24 in center then another 17 on the other side. Looks like I will have enough room to do without the ergo stand for now. I need to buy a house then up my ante to 5 boxing. :P
